3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your game:
- Unfold the game board and place it on a flat surface.
- Separate the Love Cards and Friendship Cards, shuffle each deck, and place them face down on their designated spaces on the board.
- Each player chooses a collectible token and places it on the 'GO' space.
- Select a Banker. The Banker is responsible for all money, property cards, houses, and hotels not yet owned by players. The Banker also plays the game as a regular player.
- The Banker distributes the starting money to each player according to the game rules (refer to the included rulebook for specific amounts).
- Place the houses and hotels near the board, ready for purchase.
4. Operating (Gameplay)
The game proceeds in turns, with players rolling dice to move around the board. The goal is to acquire properties, build houses and hotels, and collect rent from other players to bankrupt them.
4.1 Player Turn
- Roll both dice and move your token clockwise around the board the number of spaces indicated.
- The action you take depends on the space you land on:
- Unowned Property: You may buy the property from the Bank for the price printed on the board. If you choose not to buy it, the Banker must immediately offer it for auction to the highest bidder.
- Owned Property: If another player owns the property, you must pay them rent. The rent amount is listed on their Property Card.
- Love or Friendship Card: Draw the top card from the respective deck and follow its instructions.
- Go to Jail: Move your token directly to the 'Jail' space. Your turn ends.
- Free Parking: No action is taken.
- Go: Collect 200 units of money from the Bank as you pass or land on this space.
- If you rolled doubles, you take your turn and then roll the dice again for another turn. If you roll doubles three times in a row, you must go to Jail.
4.2 Buying and Building
- Once you own all properties in a color group (a Monopoly), you can start building houses and hotels on them.
- Houses must be built evenly across the properties in a color group. You cannot build a second house on any property until one house has been built on every property in that group.
- Once you have four houses on a property, you can upgrade them to a hotel.
4.3 Winning the Game
The game ends when all but one player has gone bankrupt. The last remaining player is the winner.
5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity of your Monopoly Sailor Moon Edition game:
