Setup

1. Unit Placement

Place the portable air conditioner on a firm, level surface. The unit is equipped with rolling caster wheels and easy-grip side handles for convenient portability. Ensure there is at least 20 inches (50 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow.

2. Window Venting Kit Installation

The unit requires an exhaust hose to vent hot air outside. The included venting kit is designed to fit standard windows and can be customized for non-traditional windows such as crank and egress windows.

1. Attach the exhaust hose to the designated port on the back of the air conditioner.
2. Install the window bracket into your window opening. Adjust the bracket to fit snugly.
3. Connect the other end of the exhaust hose to the window bracket.
4. Use the provided sealing and side panel leaf covers to seal any gaps around the window opening to prevent hot air from re-entering the room.

3. Determining Cooling Capacity

Refer to the chart below to find the correct cooling capacity (BTU) for your room based on its square footage. Adjustments may be necessary based on specific room conditions.

4. Power Connection

Plug the unit into a standard 115 Volt electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded and can handle the unit's power requirements.

Operating Instructions

Control Panel and Remote Control

The unit features an LED light display on the control panel and comes with a full-function remote control. The remote control requires batteries (not included).

Operating Modes

Press the "MODE" button on the control panel or remote to cycle through the available modes:

• Cool Mode: Provides cooling. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired temperature.
• Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Select from 3 fan speeds.
• Dry Mode (Dehumidifier): Removes moisture from the air.

Settings and Features

• Temperature Adjustment: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to increase or decrease the desired temperature in Cool mode.
• Fan Speed: Choose from 3 fan speeds (Low, Medium, High) to control airflow.
• Cooling Settings: Select from 3 cooling settings for optimal comfort.

• Adjustable Directional Fan Levers: Manually adjust the levers on the front of the unit to control and customize the direction of the airflow for maximum circulation.

Maintenance

Air Filter Cleaning

Regular cleaning of the air filter is crucial for maintaining the unit's efficiency and performance. A dirty filter can restrict airflow and reduce cooling capacity.

1. Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
2. Locate the air filter access panel, typically on the side or back of the unit.
3. Open the panel and carefully remove the air filter.
4. Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris. For heavily soiled filters, wash with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry completely before reinserting.
5. Reinsert the dry filter and close the access panel.

Water Drainage

When operating in Dry (dehumidifier) mode or in very humid conditions, the internal water tank may accumulate condensate. The unit has a 5-gallon capacity for collected water.

1. Unplug the air conditioner.
2. Locate the drain plug at the bottom rear of the unit.
3. Place a shallow pan or tray beneath the drain plug.
4. Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
5. Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.

Storage

Before storing the unit for an extended period, ensure it is completely drained of water and the filter is clean and dry. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, preferably covered to protect it from dust.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your portable air conditioner, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

• Unit does not turn on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Ensure the unit's power button is pressed.
• Unit is not cooling: Verify that the unit is in Cool mode and the temperature setting is lower than the room temperature. Check if the air filter is clean and not obstructed. Ensure the exhaust hose is properly installed and venting hot air outside.
