1. Important Safety Information

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

The appliance consists of a main unit, a removable frying basket, and an outer pan. The frying basket fits inside the outer pan, which then slides into the main unit.

3. Setup

Before First Use:

1. Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels from the appliance.
2. Wash the frying basket and outer pan thoroughly with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge.
3. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
4. Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembly.

Placement:

Place the air fryer on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate space (at least 6 inches) around the appliance for proper air circulation.

4. Operating Instructions

The KALORIK Digital Air Fryer is designed for ease of use with its intuitive digital control panel and preset functions.

Basic Operation:

1. Prepare Food: Place your ingredients into the frying basket. For best results, do not overfill the basket.
2. Insert Basket: Slide the frying basket and outer pan assembly back into the air fryer unit until it clicks into place.
3. Power On: Plug the appliance into a grounded wall outlet. The power button will illuminate. Press the power button to turn on the display.
4. Set Temperature and Time:
   • Use the temperature control arrows (up/down) to adjust the cooking temperature (up to 400°F).
   • Use the timer control arrows (up/down) to set the cooking time (up to 60 minutes).
5. Use Presets: Alternatively, select one of the 8 preset menus by pressing the 'M' button to cycle through options. Each preset has a default time and temperature for common foods.
6. Start Cooking: Press the play/pause button to begin the cooking cycle. The fan and heating element will activate.
7. Shake Basket (Optional): For even cooking, especially with items like fries or chicken wings, pull out the basket halfway through the cooking time and gently shake it. Then, reinsert the basket to resume cooking.
8. Food Ready: The air fryer will beep when the cooking time is complete. Carefully pull out the basket and remove the cooked food using tongs.
9. Power Off: Press the power button to turn off the appliance. Unplug from the wall outlet when not in use.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your air fryer.

Cleaning Instructions:

1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the air fryer from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Clean Basket and Pan: The frying basket and outer pan are dishwasher safe. For manual cleaning, wash them with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. For stubborn residue, soak them in hot water with dish soap for about 10 minutes.
3. Clean Interior: Wipe the inside of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
4. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the air fryer with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the stainless steel finish.
5. Dry Thoroughly: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing the appliance.

Storage:

Store the air fryer in a cool, dry place. Ensure the power cord is neatly wrapped and not kinked.
