1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

4. Product Overview

4.1. Speaker Features

The Costzon PA Speaker System includes an active speaker with a built-in amplifier and a passive speaker. Both speakers feature high-power long-throw 10" woofers and high-performance 1" tweeters for optimal sound reproduction. The active speaker houses the control panel and all input/output connections.

4.2. Control Panel (Active Speaker)

The active speaker's rear panel provides all the necessary controls and input/output ports. Refer to the diagram below for a detailed overview:

  1. SD Card/USB/MIC Input: Slots for SD card and USB drive, and a 6.35mm microphone input.
  2. LCD Display & MP3 Player Control: Digital display for mode, track information, and buttons for MP3 playback (Play/Pause, Stop, Next, Previous, Mode).
  3. Output Level Control: Adjusts the overall output volume.
  4. RCA Phone Line/XLR Line Input: Inputs for connecting external audio sources (e.g., mixer, CD player).
  5. 6.35 mm Line Output & 8 ohm Speaker Output: Output to connect to another active speaker or the passive speaker.

5. Setup

5.1. Speaker Placement

The speakers can be placed directly on the ground or mounted on the included tripod stands. Using the stands helps to project sound more effectively over a larger area.

  • On Ground: Ensure speakers are on a stable, flat surface.
  • On Tripod Stands: Extend the tripod legs for stability. Place the speaker onto the pole of the stand and secure it with the locking mechanism. The stands feature three levels of adjustable height from 3.5ft to 4.5ft.

5.2. Connecting Speakers

  1. Locate the 16ft speaker cable provided.
  2. Connect one end of the speaker cable to the 8 ohm Speaker Output on the active speaker.
  3. Connect the other end of the speaker cable to the input port on the passive speaker.

5.3. Power Connection

  1. Ensure the 110V/220V Switch on the active speaker is set to the correct voltage for your region.
  2. Connect the power cord to the AC Port on the active speaker.
  3. Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable power outlet.
  4. Ensure the Power Switch is in the OFF position before plugging into the wall outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Powering On/Off

Flip the Power Switch to the ON position to turn on the system. The LCD display will illuminate. To turn off, flip the switch to the OFF position.

6.2. Adjusting Volume and Tone

  • Use the Output Level Control knob to adjust the overall volume of the system.
  • Use the Treble and Bass control knobs to fine-tune the high and low frequencies of the audio output.

6.3. Bluetooth Connection

This system supports wireless Bluetooth connectivity for streaming audio from compatible devices.

  1. Press the Mode button on the control panel or remote control until "Bluetooth" appears on the LCD display.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), search for available Bluetooth devices.
  3. Select "Costzon PA Speaker" (or similar name) from the list.
  4. Once paired, you will hear a confirmation tone, and you can now play audio from your device through the speakers.

6.4. USB/SD Card Playback

The system can play MP3 audio files directly from a USB flash drive or SD card.

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB Input or an SD card into the SD Card Input.
  2. The system should automatically switch to USB/SD mode and begin playback. If not, press the Mode button to select USB or SD.
  3. Use the MP3 player controls (Play/Pause, Next, Previous) on the control panel or remote control to manage playback.

6.5. FM Radio

To use the built-in FM radio function:

  1. Press the Mode button until "FM" appears on the LCD display.
  2. Press the Play/Pause button to initiate an automatic scan for available radio stations. The system will save found stations.
  3. Use the Next/Previous buttons to navigate through the saved stations.

6.6. Microphone Usage

Connect the wired microphone to the MIC Input on the active speaker. Adjust the microphone volume using the dedicated microphone level control (if available, otherwise use the main output level). Ensure the microphone is pointed away from the speakers to prevent feedback.

6.7. Line Input (RCA/XLR)

For connecting external audio devices such as mixers, CD players, or other audio sources:

  1. Connect your audio source to the RCA Phone Line Input or XLR Line Input on the active speaker.
  2. Press the Mode button to select the appropriate line input.
  3. Adjust the volume from your source device and the speaker's Output Level Control.

6.8. Remote Control

The wireless remote control provides convenient access to various functions from a distance, including mode selection, volume adjustment, track control (for USB/SD/Bluetooth), and FM radio functions.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the speaker cabinets with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the system in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Cables: Regularly check all cables for signs of wear or damage. Replace any damaged cables immediately.
  • Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings on the active speaker are not blocked to prevent overheating.
