Introduction
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your NEC NP-ME372W Portable Projector. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the projector to ensure proper and safe operation. Keep this manual for future reference.

Setup
1. Placement
Position the projector on a stable, flat surface or mount it securely. Ensure adequate ventilation around the projector. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

2. Connections
Connect your video source (e.g., laptop, Blu-ray player) to the projector using the appropriate cables. The NP-ME372W features multiple input options:
- HDMI 1 / HDMI 2: For digital video and audio signals.
- COMPUTER IN (VGA): For analog video signals from a computer.
- VIDEO IN: For composite video signals.
- AUDIO IN (L/R): For analog audio input.
- AUDIO OUT: For connecting external speakers.
- USB (OUT 5V=1.0A): For powering USB devices or connecting a USB drive for media playback.
- LAN: For network connectivity and control.
- PC CONTROL: For projector control via RS-232C.

3. Power Connection
Connect the power cable to the projector's AC inlet and then to a grounded electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press the power button on the control panel or remote control. The power indicator will turn green.
- To Power Off: Press the power button twice. The projector will enter cooling mode, and the power indicator will flash. Once cooled, the indicator will turn red.
2. Control Panel Overview
The control panel on top of the projector allows for direct operation.

- POWER: Turns the projector on or off.
- INPUT: Selects the input source.
- MENU: Accesses the on-screen display (OSD) menu.
- ENTER: Confirms selections in the OSD menu.
- EXIT: Exits the OSD menu or current function.
- ECO: Activates or deactivates Eco Mode for power saving.
- AUTO ADJ: Automatically adjusts the image.
- FOCUS/ZOOM: Adjusts image focus and zoom using the rings around the lens.
3. Image Adjustment
- Focus: Rotate the focus ring on the lens until the image is sharp.
- Zoom: Rotate the zoom ring on the lens to adjust the image size. The projector features a 1.7x zoom ratio.
- Keystone Correction: If the image appears trapezoidal, use the keystone correction function in the OSD menu to square the image.
4. Menu Navigation
Press the MENU button to access the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu. Use the arrow buttons to navigate through options and ENTER to select. EXIT to close the menu.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Projector
- Exterior: Wipe the projector's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild detergent, then wipe dry.
- Lens: Use a lens cleaning cloth or lens paper specifically designed for optical surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Air Vents: Regularly check and clean the air vents to prevent dust buildup, which can impede airflow and cause overheating. Use a soft brush or compressed air.

2. Lamp Replacement
The projector lamp has an estimated lifespan of 10,000 hours. When the lamp indicator lights up or the image becomes dim, it's time to replace the lamp. Refer to the specific lamp replacement instructions in the full user manual for detailed steps. Always use genuine NEC replacement lamps (Lamp Type: NP47LP).
CAUTION: Allow the projector to cool down completely for at least 60 minutes before attempting to replace the lamp to avoid burns.
