6. Maintenance
Proper care will ensure the longevity of your daybed.
- Cleaning Fabric: For general cleaning, vacuum the fabric upholstery regularly using an upholstery attachment to remove dust and debris.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub. For stubborn stains, use a mild fabric cleaner following the product's instructions, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
- Frame Care: Wipe the frame components with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as needed to maintain structural integrity.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your daybed, refer to the following common solutions:
- Squeaking Noises: Squeaking often indicates loose hardware. Check and tighten all bolts and screws on both the daybed and trundle frames.
- Trundle Not Sliding Smoothly: Inspect the trundle wheels for any obstructions or damage. Ensure the floor surface is clear and level. If wheels are damaged, contact customer support for replacement options.
- Instability/Wobbling: This is typically due to uneven assembly or loose connections. Disassemble and reassemble the affected sections, ensuring all parts are correctly aligned and tightened. Verify the daybed is on a flat, stable surface.
- Damaged Components: If any structural components, such as slats or frame parts, appear damaged or broken, discontinue use immediately and contact customer support. Do not attempt to repair structural damage yourself.
