Important Safety Instructions

Read all instructions carefully before using the appliance. Always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, injury to persons, or exposure to excessive microwave energy.

  • Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open as this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy.
  • Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
  • Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that the oven door closes properly and that there is no damage to the: (1) door (bent), (2) hinges and latches (broken or loosened), (3) door seals and sealing surfaces.
  • Only qualified service personnel should adjust or repair this oven.
  • Ensure the appliance is properly grounded.
  • Do not heat sealed containers, as they may explode.
  • Always use oven mitts when removing items from the microwave, as dishes and food can become very hot.

Setup and Installation

Unpacking

Carefully remove the microwave oven from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, including any protective film or tape. Inspect the oven for any damage during transit. If any damage is found, do not operate the oven and contact your retailer.

Placement

Place the microwave oven on a flat, stable surface that can support its weight. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the oven. Maintain a minimum clearance of 20 cm (8 inches) above the oven, 10 cm (4 inches) at the rear, and 5 cm (2 inches) on each side for proper airflow.

Electrical Connection

Connect the power cord to a properly grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage and frequency of your power supply match the specifications listed on the oven's rating label. Do not use extension cords or adapters.

Operating Instructions

Control Panel Overview

The LG NeoChef Inverter Microwave features an intuitive touch control panel. Familiarize yourself with the main functions:

  • START/ENTER: Press to begin cooking or confirm a selection.
  • STOP/CLEAR: Press to stop cooking, clear settings, or cancel a program.
  • TIME/WEIGHT Dial: Rotate to set cooking time, weight, or adjust settings.
  • POWER: Select desired power level.
  • DEFROST: For defrosting food by weight or time.
  • AUTO COOK: Pre-programmed settings for common foods.
  • CLOCK: Set the current time.
  • ECO ON/OFF: Activates or deactivates energy-saving mode.

Basic Cooking

  1. Place food in a microwave-safe dish and place it on the glass turntable.
  2. Close the oven door securely.
  3. Rotate the TIME/WEIGHT Dial to set the desired cooking time.
  4. Press the POWER button repeatedly to select the desired power level (e.g., P100 for 100% power).
  5. Press START/ENTER to begin cooking.

Defrosting Food

The NeoChef Inverter Microwave offers two defrosting methods: Auto Defrost and Manual Defrost.

Auto Defrost (Weight Defrost)

  1. Place frozen food on the turntable.
  2. Press the DEFROST button.
  3. Rotate the TIME/WEIGHT Dial to select the food category (e.g., Meat, Poultry, Fish, Bread).
  4. Rotate the TIME/WEIGHT Dial again to enter the weight of the food.
  5. Press START/ENTER. The oven will automatically calculate the defrosting time.

Manual Defrost (Time Defrost)

  1. Place frozen food on the turntable.
  2. Press the DEFROST button twice.
  3. Rotate the TIME/WEIGHT Dial to set the desired defrosting time.
  4. Press START/ENTER.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your LG NeoChef Inverter Microwave.

Cleaning the Interior

  • Always unplug the oven before cleaning.
  • Wipe the interior cavity, door seals, and turntable support with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each use.
  • For stubborn stains, place a bowl of water with lemon slices inside and microwave for 2-3 minutes. The steam will loosen food particles, making them easier to wipe away.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the interior surfaces.

Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid getting water into the ventilation openings. For stainless steel finishes, use a specialized stainless steel cleaner.

Replacing the Oven Light

The oven light is a non-user replaceable part. If the oven light needs replacement, please contact qualified service personnel.
