1. Overview

3. Setup
3.1 Unboxing
Your Amazfit Verge package should contain the following items:
- Amazfit Verge Smartwatch
- Charging Cable
- User Manual (this document)
3.2 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge your Amazfit Verge. Connect the charging cable to the charging port on the back of the watch and plug the USB end into a power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The watch display will indicate charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 2.5 hours.
3.3 Pairing with Smartphone
To unlock the full functionality of your Amazfit Verge, pair it with your smartphone using the official Amazfit app. The app is available for both Android and iOS devices.
- Download and install the Amazfit app from your smartphone's app store.
- Open the app and create an account or log in.
- Turn on your Amazfit Verge.
- In the Amazfit app, navigate to 'Profile' > 'Add device' and select 'Watch' > 'Amazfit Verge'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions in the app and on your watch to complete the pairing process. This usually involves scanning a QR code displayed on the watch or confirming a pairing request.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Navigating the Interface
The Amazfit Verge features a touch-sensitive AMOLED screen and a physical button for navigation.
- Swipe Up/Down: Scroll through menus and notifications.
- Swipe Left/Right: Access quick settings, widgets, or different screens.
- Tap: Select an item or open an application.
- Press Button: Return to the home screen or wake the device.
4.2 Using Sport Modes
The watch supports 12 different sport modes for detailed activity tracking.
- From the home screen, swipe to find the 'Sports' application.
- Tap 'Sports' and select your desired activity (e.g., Running, Walking, Cycling).
- Wait for GPS signal acquisition if it's an outdoor activity.
- Tap 'GO' to start recording your activity.
- During the activity, you can view real-time data such as duration, distance, heart rate, and pace.
- To pause or end the activity, swipe right or press the physical button and select the appropriate option.
4.3 Making and Answering Calls
When connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth, the Amazfit Verge allows you to manage calls.
- Answering Calls: When an incoming call is received, the watch will display the caller ID. Tap the green phone icon to answer the call on your watch.
- Making Calls: Access the 'Phone' application on your watch. You can dial a number directly or select a contact from your synced phonebook.
4.4 Customizing Watch Faces
Personalize your watch by changing the watch face.
- From the home screen, long-press the watch face.
- Swipe left or right to browse through available watch faces.
- Tap on a watch face to select and apply it.
- More watch faces can be downloaded and synced via the Amazfit app.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain the watch's appearance and functionality.
- Wipe the watch screen and body with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Ensure the charging contacts on the back of the watch are clean and dry before charging.
5.2 Battery Care
To prolong battery life:
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures.
- Charge the watch regularly, but avoid leaving it fully discharged for extended periods.
- If storing the watch for a long time, charge it to about 50% before storage.
6. Troubleshooting
- Watch not turning on: Ensure the watch is fully charged. Connect it to the charger for at least 30 minutes.
- Cannot pair with smartphone:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Make sure the watch is within range of your phone.
- Restart both the watch and the smartphone.
- Clear the Bluetooth cache on your phone (Android) or forget the device and re-pair (iOS).
- GPS signal acquisition is slow: Ensure you are in an open outdoor area with a clear view of the sky. Avoid tall buildings or dense foliage.
- Inaccurate heart rate readings: Ensure the watch is worn snugly on your wrist, about one finger's width above the wrist bone. Clean the sensor on the back of the watch.
- Notifications not appearing:
- Check notification settings in the Amazfit app.
- Ensure the watch is connected to your phone.
- Verify that your phone's notification permissions are granted to the Amazfit app.
