1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage during transit. Verify that all listed components are present.

4.2 Charging the Battery

  1. Connect the charger to the battery box's charging port.
  2. Plug the charger into a standard AC power outlet (100-240V).
  3. The indicator lights on the battery box will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes 4-5 hours.
  4. Disconnect the charger once the battery is fully charged. The system provides 8-10 hours of continuous working time on a full charge.

4.3 Assembling the System

  1. Open the control box.
  2. Connect the cable from the reel to the designated port on the control box. Ensure a secure connection.
  3. Connect the camera head to the end of the cable. If inspecting larger pipes, attach the appropriate skid/guide to the camera head.
  4. Insert the 32GB TF card into the designated slot on the control unit for recording.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

Press the 'ON/OFF' button on the control box to power on the system. The LCD monitor will display the live camera feed. Press and hold the 'ON/OFF' button to power off.

5.2 Monitor Functions

The 9-inch LCD monitor displays the live video feed. Use the control buttons to navigate menus, adjust settings, and control recording functions. The screen also displays the distance counter and battery status.

5.3 Camera Operation

  1. Inserting the Camera: Carefully feed the camera head and cable into the pipe or inspection area. The flexible spring on the camera head (4.7-inch/120mm) assists in navigating bends.
  2. Adjusting LED Lights: Use the dedicated button on the control box to adjust the brightness of the 12 LED lights on the camera head for optimal illumination in dark environments.
  3. Self-Leveling Function: The camera automatically adjusts to maintain a level image on the screen, regardless of the camera's rotation within the pipe. This ensures a consistent and clear view for inspection.

  5. Distance Counting: The on-screen display shows the exact depth of the inserted cable in real-time. You can switch between feet and meters as needed. This helps pinpoint the location of issues.
  6. 512Hz Sonde: The integrated 512Hz transmitter in the camera head allows for precise location tracking when paired with a compatible locator (sold separately). This is crucial for accurately identifying problem areas from above ground.

  8. Recording Video and Taking Photos: Use the dedicated buttons on the control box to start/stop video recording (MP4 format) or capture still images (JPEG format). All recordings are saved to the inserted 32GB TF card.
  9. Cable Management: The portable cable reel is designed for easy deployment and retrieval of the cable. To release the cable, pull it gently from the reel. To coil, rotate the reel handle. Ensure the cable does not bend sharply (less than 90 degrees) to prevent damage.

5.4 Applications

This system is suitable for inspecting pipes ranging from 1 to 8 inches (25-200mm) in diameter. Beyond standard sewer and drain inspections, it can be used in various fields such as the drilling industry, search and rescue operations, and archaeological investigations.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Camera Head: After each use, gently wipe the camera lens and housing with a soft, damp cloth to remove any debris or residue. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Cleaning the Cable: Wipe down the cable as it is reeled in to remove dirt and moisture. This prevents contaminants from entering the reel mechanism and prolongs cable life.
  • Battery Care: Recharge the battery regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain its lifespan. Store the battery in a cool, dry place.
  • Storage: Store the entire system in its original case in a dry, temperature-controlled environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • SD Card: Periodically back up data from the SD card and format it to ensure optimal recording performance.
