1.3 Fitting the Collar

Proper collar fit is crucial for effective operation and your dog's comfort.

  1. Place the receiver unit on the side of your dog's neck, ensuring the contact points touch the skin.
  2. Adjust the collar strap to be snug but not too tight. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog's neck.
  3. Trim any excess collar strap if necessary.
  4. Regularly check the fit and reposition the collar every 1-2 hours to prevent prolonged pressure on one area, which can cause skin irritation.
  5. When not in use or when your dog is at home, remove and turn off the collar to prevent discomfort and potential skin issues.

1.4 Pairing Remote and Collars

The remote can control up to 3 collar receivers. Each collar is typically pre-paired to a channel (CH1, CH2, CH3). If re-pairing is needed:

  1. Turn on the remote transmitter.
  2. Select the desired channel (CH1, CH2, or CH3) using the channel button on the remote.
  3. With the receiver collar turned off, press and hold the power button on the receiver until the indicator light flashes rapidly.
  4. Within 10 seconds, press the 'Shock' or 'Vibration' button on the remote. The receiver light will stop flashing and remain solid, indicating successful pairing.
  5. Repeat for additional collars on different channels.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Training Modes

The F-color 880V training collar offers four distinct training modes:

  • Beep Mode: Provides an audible tone.
  • Vibration Mode: Offers 1-16 adjustable levels of vibration.
  • Shock Mode: Provides 0-100 adjustable levels of static stimulation. Use this mode responsibly and at the lowest effective level.
  • Anti-lost Light: An LED light on the collar for visibility in low-light conditions.

2.2 Remote Range

The remote transmitter provides a range of up to 875 yards (2600 feet) in open areas. Obstructions such as walls or dense foliage may reduce this range to approximately 350 feet.

3. Maintenance

3.1 Cleaning

To ensure longevity and hygiene, clean the collar and receiver regularly:

  • Wipe the collar strap and receiver unit with a damp cloth.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure the devices are completely dry before charging or storing.

3.2 Battery Life

The remote transmitter can last up to 45 days on standby, and the receiver collars up to 35 days on standby. Actual battery life may vary based on usage frequency and mode intensity.

  • Charge devices fully when the battery indicator is low.
  • For optimal battery health, avoid completely draining the battery frequently.

4. Troubleshooting

4.1 Collar Not Responding

  • Check Battery: Ensure both the remote and receiver collars are fully charged.
  • Check Pairing: Verify that the remote is paired to the correct channel for the collar. If unsure, re-pair the devices (refer to Section 1.4).
  • Range: Confirm you are within the effective remote range. Obstructions can reduce range.
  • Contact Points: Ensure the receiver's contact points are touching your dog's skin. Adjust the collar fit if necessary.

4.2 Skin Irritation

  • Collar Fit: A collar that is too tight or worn for too long in one position can cause irritation. Loosen the collar slightly and reposition it frequently.
  • Prolonged Use: Do not leave the collar on your dog for more than 12 hours per day. Remove it when not actively training.
  • Cleanliness: Ensure the collar and your dog's neck area are clean and dry.
  • Contact Points: The F-color collar uses soft silicone contact points to minimize irritation. If using alternative contact points, ensure they are appropriate for your dog's skin type.

4.3 Remote or Collar Not Holding Charge

  • Charging Cable/Adapter: Try a different USB charging cable or power adapter to rule out a faulty accessory.
  • Charging Port: Inspect the charging ports for any debris or damage.
  • Standby Mode: Some devices enter a deep sleep or standby mode to conserve battery. Ensure the device is fully awake before attempting to charge or use.
  • Environmental Factors: Extreme temperatures can affect battery performance. Charge and store devices at room temperature.
