Assembly Instructions

The WORKESS Roller Support Stand is designed for quick and straightforward assembly. Follow these steps:

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Check for any metal shavings and handle with gloves if necessary.
  2. Attach Support Leg Assembly: Connect the support leg assembly to the main stand frame. Ensure the holes align. Secure with the provided bolts and nuts. Some models may have pre-installed pins; ensure these are correctly seated.
  3. Verify Footpads: Confirm that the plastic footpads are securely attached to the base of the support legs. These provide stability and prevent slipping.
  4. Check Roller Assembly: Ensure the roller is securely attached to the top post and rotates smoothly.
  5. Test Locking Lever: Familiarize yourself with the height-locking lever. Ensure it engages and disengages smoothly.

Operating Instructions

  1. Placement: Position the roller stand on a firm, level surface. Ensure the four non-slip rubber feet are making full contact with the ground to prevent movement during use.
  2. Adjusting Height:
    • To adjust the height, loosen the red height-locking lever.
    • Raise or lower the roller post to the desired height, ranging from 26-3/4 inches to 42-1/5 inches.
    • Once the desired height is achieved, firmly tighten the height-locking lever to secure the post in place. Verify that the post is stable before use.
  3. Material Support: Place the material (e.g., wood, metal) onto the smooth steel roller. The roller is designed to allow material to move freely, facilitating feeding and out-feeding operations for saws, planers, and other machinery.
  4. Load Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 132 lbs (60 kg) per stand. For heavier or longer materials, use two stands to distribute the load, ensuring the combined weight does not exceed 264 lbs (120 kg).

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the stand with a damp cloth after each use to remove dust, sawdust, and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the powder coating or zinc-plated surfaces.
  • Roller Care: The roller runs on sealed ball bearings, designed to prevent dust entry. Periodically check the roller for smooth operation. If it becomes stiff, ensure no debris is obstructing its movement.
  • Lubrication: No regular lubrication is required for the sealed bearings.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect all bolts, nuts, and locking mechanisms for tightness. Tighten any loose fasteners. Check for any signs of damage, bending, or excessive wear on the frame or roller.
  • Storage: When not in use, the stand can be folded for compact storage. Store in a dry environment to prevent rust.

Troubleshooting

  • Stand is Wobbly:
    • Ensure all assembly bolts are securely tightened.
    • Verify the stand is on a completely flat and stable surface. Adjust placement if necessary.
    • Check that the height-locking lever is fully engaged and tightened.
  • Roller is Not Smooth:
    • Inspect the roller for any debris (sawdust, metal shavings) that might be obstructing its rotation. Clean thoroughly.
    • Ensure the roller is properly seated in its mounts.
  • Height Adjustment is Difficult:
    • Loosen the height-locking lever completely before attempting to adjust.
    • Ensure the inner post slides freely. Clean any accumulated dirt or rust if present.
