ExtremeAroma Technology
This technology enhances the coffee flavor through a continuous dripping and spraying process, ensuring a more intense aroma and taste. Activate this function by pressing the dedicated "Intense Aroma" button (if available, refer to your specific model's button layout) or it may be an automatic part of the brewing cycle.
Keep Warm Function
After brewing, the coffee maker's heating plate will automatically keep the coffee warm for approximately 40 minutes. After this period, the appliance will automatically shut off for safety and energy saving.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Daily Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and taste:
- Always unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove the permanent filter and filter holder. Discard used coffee grounds.
- Wash the glass carafe, permanent filter, and filter holder in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts are generally dishwasher safe on the top rack, but hand washing is recommended for longevity.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Do not immerse the main unit, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
Descaling (AutoClean Function)
Mineral deposits from water can build up over time, affecting performance and coffee taste. The AutoClean function helps with descaling. It is recommended to descale your coffee maker approximately every 4 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.
- Fill the water tank with a mixture of water and descaling solution (or white vinegar). Follow the descaling solution manufacturer's instructions for ratios, or use a 1:2 ratio of white vinegar to water.
- Place the empty glass carafe on the heating plate.
- Press the "AutoClean" button (often the first button from the bottom, as per user reviews) to start the descaling cycle. This cycle is designed to clean the machine and improve descaling processes.
- After the cycle is complete, discard the descaling solution.
- Run two full cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
