2. Safety Information

4. Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps carefully to assemble your TAMIYA JR Manta Ray Mk.II Black Special MS Chassis. Refer to the detailed diagrams in the included printed manual for visual guidance.
- Chassis Preparation:
Begin by separating all chassis parts from their runners. Smooth any rough edges with a hobby knife or sandpaper. Assemble the front and rear units of the MS chassis.

- Motor Installation:
Install the double-shaft motor into the central unit of the MS chassis. Ensure the motor is securely seated and the terminals make proper contact.
- Gearbox Assembly:
Assemble the gears according to the diagram, ensuring they mesh smoothly. Lubricate gears lightly with Tamiya grease (sold separately) for optimal performance.
- Wheel and Tire Attachment:
Attach the black wheels to the axles, then mount the blue low-profile tires onto the wheels. Ensure they are firmly seated.
- Roller Installation:
Install the guide rollers onto the front and rear units of the chassis. These rollers help guide the car along the track walls.
- Body Assembly:
Carefully cut out the body parts and apply the included stickers according to the design. Attach the finished body to the MS chassis.

- Battery Compartment:
Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the chassis. Insert two AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).

5. Operating Instructions
Once assembled and batteries are installed, your Mini 4WD is ready for operation.
- Power On:
Locate the ON/OFF switch on the underside of the chassis (refer to Figure 4). Slide the switch to the "ON" position to start the motor.
- Placement on Track:
Carefully place the Mini 4WD onto a designated Mini 4WD track. Ensure all four wheels are on the track surface.
- Running:
The car will run automatically around the track. Observe its performance and make adjustments as needed (e.g., roller settings, gear ratios, motor upgrades) for optimal speed and stability.
- Power Off:
To stop the car, pick it up from the track and slide the ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position.

6. Maintenance

- Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the chassis and body with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris.
