Safety Information

Adhere to the following safety guidelines to prevent injury or damage to the tent:

  • Fire Safety: Keep all flame and heat sources away from the tent fabric. The tent material is not fireproof.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation, especially when using heating or cooking appliances nearby.
  • Weather Conditions: Do not set up the tent under trees with dead branches or in areas prone to flash floods. In strong winds or severe weather, disassemble the tent and seek shelter.
  • Site Selection: Choose a level, clear area free of sharp objects.
  • Children: Keep children away from tent poles and stakes during setup and takedown to prevent injury.

Setup Instructions

Follow these steps for proper tent assembly. It is recommended that two or more people assist with setup.

Step 1: Prepare the Site

Unpack the tent and lay out the tent body on a clean, level surface. Identify all poles and components.

Step 4: Raise the Tent

Lift the tent structure and secure the pole ends into the pins at the base of the tent. This will raise the tent into its full cabin shape.

Step 5: Attach the Rainfly

Drape the rainfly over the tent body, aligning it with the tent's shape. Secure the rainfly to the tent poles or attachment points using the provided clips or buckles. The rainfly provides additional weather protection.

Step 6: Stake Down the Tent

Use the tent stakes to secure the tent corners and guylines to the ground. Ensure the tent is taut and stable. Reflective tent ropes are included for night visibility.

Screen Room Usage

The separate floor screen room offers a bug-free lounging area. It can also serve as a "camping porch" providing sun and weather protection.

Ventilation and Windows

The tent features a large "D" style door and 5 windows with top mesh panels to provide ample ventilation. Open the zippers on the windows and door to allow airflow. The mesh protects against insects.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance extends the life of your tent:

  • Cleaning: Clean the tent with a soft brush or sponge and mild soap. Do not use harsh detergents or washing machines. Hand wash is recommended.
  • Drying: Always ensure the tent is completely dry before packing it away to prevent mildew and odor.
  • Storage: Store the tent in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Zippers: Keep zippers clean and lubricated with a silicone-based lubricant if they become stiff.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and their solutions:

  • Tent Leaks: Ensure the rainfly is properly installed and taut. Check for any tears or punctures in the fabric. The tent features sealed floor seams to block moisture.
  • Difficulty with Pole Assembly: Verify that all pole sections are fully connected and that you are using the correct poles for each sleeve. Do not force poles.
  • Tent Instability: Ensure all stakes are firmly driven into the ground and guylines are properly tensioned. Check that all pole connections are secure.
  • Zipper Snagging: Gently pull the fabric away from the zipper teeth while operating. Clean any debris from the zipper.
