5. Operating Instructions
The Wiltec vacuum cleaner offers both wet and dry vacuuming capabilities with different operating modes.
Wet Vacuuming (Pond/Pool)

Image 5.1: The vacuum cleaner configured for wet vacuuming in a pond.
For cleaning ponds or pools, ensure the drain hose is positioned to discharge water into a suitable area (e.g., garden bed, drain). The vacuum cleaner features two operating modes for wet cleaning:
Position 1: Automatic Mode

Image 5.2: Vacuum cleaner operating in automatic mode.
In this mode, the appliance automatically switches between suction and drainage cycles. It will vacuum for approximately 30 seconds until the tank is full, then pause to empty itself via the drain hose, and automatically resume suction once empty. This allows for continuous cleaning without manual intervention.
Position 2: Manual Mode

Image 5.3: Vacuum cleaner operating in manual mode.
Select this mode for direct control over the suction process. The device will continuously vacuum until the tank is full. When the water tank reaches its maximum capacity, you must manually switch off the device to allow it to empty, then restart it for further suction.
Dry Vacuuming

Image 5.4: The vacuum cleaner configured for dry vacuuming on a paved path.
For dry vacuuming, ensure the filter bag and motor protection sponge are clean and correctly installed. The HEPA filter feature (if applicable) enhances dry filtration. Do not connect the drain hose for dry vacuuming.
- Ensure the tank is empty and dry.
- Attach the appropriate dry vacuuming nozzle (e.g., floor nozzle).
- Connect the appliance to the power supply.
- Switch the appliance to the desired operating mode (usually continuous suction for dry tasks).
- Vacuum the dry surface.
- After use, switch off the appliance and disconnect from power. Empty the tank and clean the filter.
Using the Attachments
The vacuum cleaner comes with various nozzles designed for specific cleaning tasks:

- Skirting Suction Nozzle: Ideal for narrow gaps and edges.
- Curved Suction Nozzle: Useful for reaching awkward angles or corners.
- Scraping Suction Nozzle: Designed for dislodging stubborn debris from pond bottoms or surfaces.
- Floor Suction Nozzle: General purpose nozzle for larger flat surfaces during dry vacuuming.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your vacuum cleaner.
- Emptying and Cleaning the Tank: After each use, especially after wet vacuuming, empty the tank and rinse it thoroughly with clean water. Allow it to air dry completely before storage.
- Cleaning the Filter Bag: Remove the filter bag and shake out any accumulated debris. For thorough cleaning, rinse it under running water and allow it to dry completely before reinstallation. Replace the filter bag if it is torn or excessively worn.
- Cleaning the Motor Protection Sponge: Regularly remove and clean the motor protection sponge. Rinse it with water and squeeze out excess moisture. Ensure it is completely dry before placing it back.
- Cleaning Hoses and Nozzles: Rinse all hoses and nozzles with clean water to remove any trapped debris. Check for blockages and clear them as necessary.
- Storage: Store the vacuum cleaner in a dry, frost-free location, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Ensure all components are clean and dry before storage.
