Safety Precautions
- Ensure proper wiring and insulation to prevent electrical hazards.
- Do not exceed the maximum current rating of 10A for the relays.
- This device requires direct wiring; it does not have built-in power outlets.
- Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about the wiring process.
- Keep the device away from excessive moisture or direct water exposure, except for the waterproof probe.
Installation and Wiring
The KT-1000 requires direct wiring. There are two main connection methods depending on your power supply setup.
Wiring Diagram

Image: Detailed wiring diagrams for the KT-1000, illustrating Connection 1 (Independent power supply for load) and Connection 2 (Same power supply for load). L = Line (hot wire), N = Neutral, E = Earth (ground wire).
Connection 1: Independent Power Supply for Load
In this configuration, the heating and cooling loads have their own separate power supply from the controller's power supply.
- Connect the main power supply (220V AC) to terminals 1 and 2.
- Connect the NTC waterproof sensor to terminals 3 and 4.
- Connect the heating device to terminals 5 and 6, ensuring its power supply is connected separately.
- Connect the cooling device to terminals 7 and 8, ensuring its power supply is connected separately.
Connection 2: Same Power Supply for Load
In this configuration, the heating and cooling loads share the same power supply as the controller.
- Connect the main power supply (220V AC) to terminals 1 (Line) and 2 (Neutral).
- Connect the NTC waterproof sensor to terminals 3 and 4.
- Connect the heating device to terminals 5 and 6. The neutral wire for the heating device connects to terminal 2 (Neutral).
- Connect the cooling device to terminals 7 and 8. The neutral wire for the cooling device connects to terminal 2 (Neutral).
- Ensure proper grounding if applicable, connecting to the 'E' terminal (Earth/Ground).

Operating Instructions
Control Panel Overview

Image: Front view of the KT-1000 control panel, showing the LED display and buttons: Power Key (A), Up Key (B), Down Key (C), Set Key (D), Setting Indicator Lamp (E), PV/SV Display (F), Cool Indicator Lamp (G), Heat Indicator Lamp (H).
- Power Key (A): Power On/Off, Confirm Setting Value, Save and Exit Function.
- Up Key (B): Choose Parameter, Increase Value, Check Setting Temperature Value.
- Down Key (C): Choose Parameter, Decrease Value, Check Setting Difference Value.
- Set Key (D): Entry, Exit, and Set Parameters.
- Setting Indicator Lamp (E): Indicates setting status.
- PV/SV Display (F): Displays Process Value (current temperature), Set Value, and Parameter Menu.
- Cool Indicator Lamp (G): On: Refrigerating Start; Off: Refrigerating Stop; Flash: Compressor Delay.
- Heat Indicator Lamp (H): On: Heating Start; Off: Heating Stop.
Setting Temperature and Differential
The controller operates in an ON/OFF control mode. You set a target temperature (F1) and a hysteresis/differential value (F2) to maintain the temperature within a desired range.
- To Set Target Temperature (F1):
- Press the Set Key (D) once. The display will show "F1".
- Use the Up Key (B) or Down Key (C) to adjust the desired target temperature.
- Press the Power Key (A) to confirm and save the setting.
- To Set Differential/Hysteresis (F2):
- Press and hold the Set Key (D) for approximately 3 seconds to enter the parameter menu.
- Use the Up Key (B) or Down Key (C) to navigate to "F2".
- Press the Set Key (D) again to enter the F2 setting.
- Use the Up Key (B) or Down Key (C) to adjust the differential value. This value determines the temperature difference between the set point and when the heating/cooling activates/deactivates.
- Press the Power Key (A) to confirm and save the setting, then press again to exit the menu.
Example: If F1 (Set Temperature) = 10℃ and F2 (Differential) = 3℃:
- Heating Mode: Heating activates when measured temperature ≤ (F1 - F2), e.g., ≤ 7℃. Heating stops when measured temperature ≥ F1, e.g., ≥ 10℃.
- Cooling Mode: Cooling activates when measured temperature ≥ (F1 + F2), e.g., ≥ 13℃. Cooling stops when measured temperature ≤ F1, e.g., ≤ 10℃.
Other Parameter Settings (F3-F8)
To access and adjust other parameters, press and hold the Set Key (D) for 3 seconds. Use the Up Key (B) or Down Key (C) to navigate through the parameters (F3 to F8). Press Set Key (D) to enter a parameter's setting, adjust with Up/Down Keys, and press Power Key (A) to save and exit.
| Parameter | Description | Default Value | Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| F1 | Temperature Setting Value | 10℃ | -50℃ to 99℃ |
| F2 | Differential Setting Value (Hysteresis) | 3℃ | 0.1℃ to 30℃ |
| F3 | Compressor Delay Protection Time | 0 minutes | 0 to 10 minutes |
| F4 | Temperature Calibration | 0℃ | -10℃ to 10℃ |
| F5 | High Temperature Alarm Value | 99℃ | -50℃ to 99℃ |
| F6 | Low Temperature Alarm Value | -50℃ | -50℃ to 99℃ |
| F7 | Temperature Unit Selection | ℃ | ℃ / ℉ |
| F8 | Restore Factory Settings | Off | On / Off |
Maintenance
- Regularly inspect all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from damage.
- Keep the controller unit clean and free from dust. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents on the unit.
- Ensure the temperature sensor is clean and free from debris for accurate readings.
- If the unit is not in use for an extended period, disconnect it from the power supply.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Display shows "HHH" or "LLL" | Sensor error or temperature out of range. | Check sensor connection. Replace sensor if damaged. Ensure temperature is within -50℃ to 99℃. |
| Controller not powering on | No power supply or incorrect wiring. | Verify power connection to terminals 1 and 2. Check circuit breaker. |
| Heating/Cooling device not activating | Incorrect temperature settings (F1, F2), wiring issue, or device malfunction. | Review F1 and F2 settings. Check wiring to heating/cooling devices. Test devices independently. |
| Temperature reading is inaccurate | Sensor issue or need for calibration. | Check sensor placement. Use F4 (Temperature Calibration) to adjust the reading if necessary. |
