Operating Instructions
Before operating, ensure the attachment is correctly assembled and the motor unit is securely plugged in.
- Prepare Ingredients: Wash and cut fruits or vegetables into pieces small enough to fit into the hopper. For tomatoes, remove stems and any bruised parts. For other fruits like apples or pomegranates, remove seeds and hard cores.
- Position Containers: Place a collection bowl or container under the juice spout and another for pulp/waste.
- Start Motor: Turn on your REBER motor unit.
- Feed Ingredients: Gradually feed the prepared ingredients into the hopper. Use the food pusher to gently guide them down towards the worm screw. Never use your fingers or other utensils to push food.
- Processing: The attachment will separate the pulp and seeds from the juice, expelling the juice through the spout and the waste through a separate opening.
- Continuous Operation: For optimal performance and to prevent motor overheating, avoid continuous operation for extended periods. Refer to your motor unit's manual for recommended run times.
- Finish: Once all ingredients are processed, turn off the motor unit and unplug it from the power outlet.
Recommended Uses: This attachment is suitable for producing purees and juices from a variety of fruits and vegetables, including but not limited to: Beetroot, Lemon, Carrot, Pomegranate, Ginger, Orange, Pomelo, Kale, Apple, Grapefruit, Celery, Chickpeas, Cucumber, Grapes, Watermelon, Wheatgrass.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your REBER Tomato Squeezer Attachment.
- Disassembly: After unplugging the motor unit, carefully disassemble the attachment in reverse order of assembly.
- Hand Washing: All parts of the attachment should be washed by hand. Use warm, soapy water and a soft brush or sponge to remove all food residue. Pay special attention to the filter cone to ensure all perforations are clear.
- Rinsing: Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water.
- Drying: Dry all components immediately and completely with a soft cloth to prevent rust, especially for cast iron parts. Do not allow parts to air dry, as this can lead to water spots or corrosion.
- Storage: Store the clean, dry attachment in a cool, dry place.
- Cast Iron Care: For cast iron components, after drying, a thin layer of food-grade mineral oil can be applied to prevent rust, especially if storing for extended periods.
Note: While some parts may be indicated as dishwasher safe, for optimal longevity and to preserve the finish, hand washing is strongly recommended for all components.
