1. Setup

1.1 Battery Installation

1.2 Initial Time and Date Setting

Upon first use or after battery replacement, you will need to set the time and date. Consult the full instruction manual for detailed steps on navigating the settings menu to adjust hours, minutes, seconds, year, month, and day.

1.3 Sensor Calibration

For accurate readings, it is recommended to calibrate the altimeter and compass before use, especially in a new location.

• Altimeter Calibration: If you know your current altitude from a reliable source (e.g., a map or GPS device), you can manually set the altimeter to this value for improved accuracy.
• Compass Calibration: Perform a compass calibration by rotating the watch horizontally in a figure-eight motion several times until the display indicates successful calibration. Avoid strong magnetic fields during calibration.

2. Operating Instructions

The LAD WEATHER watch features multiple modes accessible via dedicated buttons. Familiarize yourself with the button functions (typically Mode, Set, Adjust, Light) to navigate between time, altimeter, barometer, compass, and thermometer modes.

2.1 Time Mode

Displays current time, date, and day of the week. May include alarm and stopwatch functions. Refer to the full manual for setting alarms and using the stopwatch.

2.2 Altimeter Mode

Measures and displays current altitude based on atmospheric pressure. The watch can store altitude history, allowing you to track ascent and descent over time.

2.3 Barometer Mode

Displays current atmospheric pressure. Changes in pressure can indicate weather changes. The watch may also show a weather forecast icon based on pressure trends.

2.4 Digital Compass Mode

Provides directional readings. Ensure the compass is calibrated for accurate results. Hold the watch level and away from magnetic interference.

2.5 Thermometer Mode

Measures ambient temperature. For accurate readings, remove the watch from your wrist for at least 20-30 minutes to allow it to acclimate to the ambient air temperature, as body heat can affect the sensor.

3. Maintenance

3.1 Cleaning

Wipe the watch case and band with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap, then wipe dry. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

3.2 Battery Replacement

The watch uses 1 Lithium Metal battery. When the battery runs low, the display may dim or flash. To replace the battery, carefully open the back case using a suitable tool, replace the old battery with a new one of the same type, and ensure the gasket is properly seated before closing the case to maintain water resistance. It is recommended to have this done by a professional to avoid damaging the watch or compromising its water resistance.

3.3 Water Resistance

The watch is water resistant to 30 meters (3 ATM). This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or showering with hot water. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged.

4. Troubleshooting

• Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery as described in the Maintenance section.
• Inaccurate Altimeter/Barometer readings: Ensure the sensors are calibrated. Atmospheric pressure changes constantly, affecting altimeter readings. Calibrate regularly, especially when starting a new activity or changing locations significantly.
• Inaccurate Compass readings: Recalibrate the compass. Ensure you are away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., large metal objects, electronics) during calibration and use.
• Temperature readings are too high: Remove the watch from your wrist for 20-30 minutes to allow the sensor to measure ambient air temperature, free from body heat influence.
• Buttons are unresponsive: Check if the watch is in a locked mode (if applicable) or if the battery is low. If submerged, ensure it is dry before operating buttons.
