Introduction

The Rockville Rock Anywhere Portable Bluetooth Speaker is designed for versatile audio playback in various environments. Setup

Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the speaker using the included Micro USB Charging Cable. Connect the cable to the speaker's charging port and the other end to a USB power source. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours. The battery supports up to 30 hours of playback at 50% volume and 20 hours at full volume.

Powering On/Off

To power on the speaker, press and hold the power button located on the top panel. To power off, press and hold the power button again.

Bluetooth Pairing (Single Speaker)

  1. Power on the Rock Anywhere speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
  2. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "ROCK ANYWHERE" from the list of devices to connect.
  4. Once connected, the speaker will provide an audible confirmation.

True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Linking

The TWS function allows you to wirelessly connect two Rock Anywhere speakers for true stereo sound, with one speaker acting as the left channel and the other as the right channel. This feature is demonstrated in the official setup video below.

  1. Ensure both Rock Anywhere speakers are powered on and fully charged.
  2. On your primary speaker (the one you want to connect to your phone), long-press the Play/Pause button. This will temporarily disconnect it from any previously paired device.
  3. The primary speaker will announce "Pairing second speaker."
  4. Power on the second speaker. It will automatically connect to the primary speaker.
  5. Once connected, the speakers will provide an audible confirmation.
  6. Now, reconnect your mobile device to the primary "ROCK ANYWHERE" speaker via Bluetooth. Both speakers will now play in stereo.

Mounting the Speaker

The Rock Anywhere speaker comes with a bicycle handlebar mount and a small strap for versatile attachment. The speaker features a standard tripod screw mount on its bottom, allowing it to be attached to various compatible accessories.

Operating Instructions

Control Buttons

The top panel of the speaker features several control buttons:

  • Power Button: Press and hold to power on/off.
  • Play/Pause Button: Press to play or pause audio. Long-press for TWS pairing (when not connected to a phone).
  • Volume Up (+): Press to increase volume. Long-press to skip to the next track.
  • Volume Down (-): Press to decrease volume. Long-press to go to the previous track.
  • MIC: Built-in microphone for hands-free calling.

Hands-Free Calling

With the built-in microphone, you can answer and make phone calls hands-free when connected via Bluetooth. Press the Play/Pause button to answer or end a call.

Auxiliary Input

Connect non-Bluetooth devices using the included 3.5mm auxiliary cable to the AUX input port on the side of the speaker.

SD Card Playback

Insert a Micro SD card (up to 64GB) loaded with audio files into the TF card slot. The speaker will automatically switch to SD card mode and begin playback.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the speaker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure all ports are dry before charging or connecting cables.

Waterproof Care (IPX7 Rating)

The Rock Anywhere speaker has an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning it can be submerged in water up to 1 meter (3 feet) for 30 minutes. To maintain its waterproof integrity, ensure the side port cover is securely closed and sealed before exposing the speaker to water. After exposure to water, dry the speaker thoroughly, especially the charging port, before charging or using wired connections.

Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
Speaker does not power onEnsure the battery is charged. Connect the speaker to a power source using the USB cable.
Cannot pair via Bluetooth
  • Make sure the speaker is in pairing mode (blinking indicator).
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
  • Move the speaker closer to your device (within 40 feet).
  • If already paired with another device, disconnect it first.
  • For TWS pairing, ensure the primary speaker is disconnected from the phone before initiating TWS.
No sound or distorted sound

TWS pairing fails

  • Follow the TWS pairing steps precisely, ensuring the primary speaker is disconnected from any phone before initiating TWS.
