Descaling

Mineral deposits (calcium and lime) can build up in your coffee maker over time and affect its performance. Descale your coffee maker every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.

  1. Prepare Solution: Mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 2 cups of water.
  2. Fill Tank: Pour the vinegar solution into the water tank.
  3. Run Cycles: Place an empty mug on the drip tray. Run a brew cycle without coffee. After the cycle, let the coffee maker sit for 30 minutes with the solution inside.
  4. Rinse Cycles: Discard the solution. Fill the water tank with fresh, clean water and run 2-3 full brew cycles to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste.
