Important Safeguards

Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plugs, or coffee maker in water or other liquid.

Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.

The LIVINGbasics 2-in-1 Single Serve Coffee Maker consists of several key components designed for ease of use and versatility:

Lid Tab: Used to open the top lid of the coffee maker.
Piercing Needle: Located under the lid, this needle punctures K-Cup pods.
Lid: The top cover that secures the K-Cup pod or brew basket.
Single-Serve Pack: Refers to K-Cup pods.
Water Tank: The reservoir for water, located at the back of the unit.
Water Gauge: A clear tube indicating the water level in the tank.
Front Body: The main front casing of the coffee maker.
Funnel Handle: Handle for the reusable funnel/brew basket.

Initial Setup

Before using your coffee maker for the first time, follow these steps:

Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the coffee maker for any damage.
Clean: Wash the removable parts (drip tray, drip tray cover, brew basket, funnel) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
First Clean Cycle: Fill the water tank with clean water up to the MAX line. Place an empty mug on the drip tray. Close the lid and press the brew button to run a cycle without coffee. Discard the hot water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to ensure the unit is clean.

Operating Instructions

Using K-Cup Pods

Fill Water Tank: Open the lid and fill the water tank with fresh, cold water. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
Insert K-Cup Pod: Lift the lid and insert a K-Cup pod into the single-serve pack holder. Close the lid firmly until it clicks.
Place Mug: Place your coffee mug on the drip tray.
Brew: Press the power/brew button. The indicator light will illuminate, and brewing will begin.
Enjoy: Once brewing is complete, the light will turn off. Carefully remove your mug.

Using Ground Coffee

Prepare Brew Basket: Open the brew basket lid and fill the reusable brew basket with your desired amount of ground coffee (do not overfill). Close the brew basket lid.
Insert Brew Basket: Place the filled brew basket into the funnel. Insert the funnel with the brew basket into the coffee maker, ensuring it is seated correctly. Close the main lid firmly.
Fill Water Tank: Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
Place Mug: Place your coffee mug on the drip tray.
Brew: Press the power/brew button. The indicator light will illuminate, and brewing will begin.
Enjoy: Once brewing is complete, the light will turn off. Carefully remove your mug.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Daily Cleaning

Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning.
Remove and empty the drip tray and drip tray cover. Wash them with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry.
If using the reusable brew basket, remove and discard used coffee grounds. Wash the brew basket and funnel with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry.
Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
Do not immerse the coffee maker in water or any other liquid.

Descaling

Mineral deposits (calcium and lime) can build up in your coffee maker over time and affect its performance. Descale your coffee maker every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.

Prepare Solution: Mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 2 cups of water.
Fill Tank: Pour the vinegar solution into the water tank.
Run Cycles: Place an empty mug on the drip tray. Run a brew cycle without coffee. After the cycle, let the coffee maker sit for 30 minutes with the solution inside.
Rinse Cycles: Discard the solution. Fill the water tank with fresh, clean water and run 2-3 full brew cycles to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
