Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance. Keep this manual for future reference.
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the voltage rating on the appliance matches your mains supply. Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
- Hot Surfaces: The appliance generates hot steam and hot water. Avoid contact with hot surfaces and steam. Use handles and knobs.
- Children: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Placement: Place the appliance on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and heat.
- Maintenance: Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Contact authorized service personnel for repairs.
- Safety Cap: The patented safety cap prevents accidental opening during operation. Do not attempt to force it open.
2. Product Overview and Components

- Water Tank: Located at the top, for filling with fresh water.

3. Setup and First Use
3.1 Unpacking and Initial Cleaning
- Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
- Wash the glass jug, filter holder, and removable drip tray with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth.
3.2 First Use Cycle (Priming)
Before brewing coffee or frothing milk for the first time, perform a priming cycle to clean the internal components.
- Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX level. Securely close the safety cap.
- Place the empty glass jug on the drip tray.
- Ensure the filter holder is empty and correctly inserted.
- Turn the Vario System dial to the "Strong" coffee position.
- Switch the appliance ON using the On/Off switch. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow the appliance to complete a full brewing cycle with only water.
- Discard the water from the jug. Your coffee maker is now ready for use.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Brewing Coffee
- Fill Water Tank: Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh, cold water. Close the safety cap securely.
- Add Coffee: Place the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter holder. Do not overfill. For best results, use medium grind coffee.
- Insert Filter Holder: Securely insert the filter holder into its position on the appliance.
- Place Jug: Position the glass jug on the drip tray, directly beneath the filter holder. For 2 cups, use the 2-cup adaptor if available.
- Select Strength: Turn the Vario System dial to your desired coffee strength (Light, Medium, or Strong).

- Start Brewing: Switch the appliance ON. The indicator light will illuminate, and brewing will begin.
- Monitor: The coffee will brew into the glass jug. Once brewing is complete, the appliance will automatically switch off or stop dispensing.
- Serve: Carefully remove the jug and serve.
4.2 Frothing Milk for Cappuccino
The patented IFD system makes frothing milk simple.
- Prepare Milk: Fill the removable milk reservoir with cold milk. The reservoir can be topped up at any time.
- Attach Reservoir: Securely attach the milk reservoir to the appliance, ensuring the frothing nozzle is correctly positioned over a cup.
- Select Cappuccino: Turn the Vario System dial to the "Cappuccino" position.
- Start Frothing: Switch the appliance ON. The IFD system will combine milk, steam, and air to dispense frothed milk directly into your cup.
- Combine: Once the desired amount of frothed milk is dispensed, you can add freshly brewed coffee to complete your cappuccino.
5. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.
5.1 Daily Cleaning
- Power Off: Always switch off the appliance and unplug it from the mains before cleaning.
- Drip Tray: Remove and empty the drip tray. Wash it with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry.
- Glass Jug & Filter Holder: Wash the glass jug and filter holder with warm, soapy water after each use. Rinse thoroughly.
- Milk Frother: The removable milk reservoir and frothing nozzle should be cleaned immediately after each use to prevent milk residue buildup. Wash with warm water.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

5.2 Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in the appliance, affecting performance. Descale your coffee maker regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use.
- Use a commercial descaling solution suitable for coffee makers, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Alternatively, a solution of white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio) can be used.
- Run the descaling solution through the appliance as if brewing coffee, without coffee grounds.
- After descaling, run several cycles with fresh water to rinse out any descaling solution residue.
6. Troubleshooting
