Introduction

- 1 x White Mat (for 8x10 inch picture, can be removed for 12x16 inch picture)
- 1 x Plastic Front Protection
- 1 x Backing Board
- Hanging hardware (e.g., metal hangers, screws/nails not typically included but frame has hanging points)
Setup
1. Unpacking the Frame
- Carefully remove the frame from its packaging.
- Inspect the frame for any damage. If damaged, do not proceed with setup and contact customer support.
2. Inserting Artwork or Photo
- Lay the frame face down on a clean, flat surface.
- Carefully bend or rotate the metal clips holding the backing board in place.
- Remove the backing board and the plastic front protection.
- Peel off any protective film from both sides of the plastic front protection.
- Decide whether to use the included white mat. The mat is suitable for an 8x10 inch picture. Without the mat, the frame can hold a 12x16 inch picture.
- Place your artwork or photo face down onto the plastic front protection (with or without the mat).
- Place the backing board on top of your artwork, ensuring it is flush with the frame edges.
- Secure the metal clips back into position to hold the backing board firmly.

3. Displaying the Frame
The Ribba frame can be displayed on a wall or placed on a flat surface.
Wall Mounting:
- The frame includes pre-attached metal hangers on the backing board for both horizontal and vertical orientation.
- Choose the desired orientation and mark the wall where the hanging points will be.
- Install appropriate wall anchors and screws/nails (not included) suitable for your wall material.
- Carefully hang the frame onto the installed hardware, ensuring it is level and secure.

Tabletop Display:
- For tabletop display, simply lean the frame against a wall or support on a flat surface such as a shelf, desk, or cabinet.
- Ensure the surface is stable and the frame is not at risk of falling.

Operating
The IKEA Ribba Frame is designed for static display. Its primary operation involves changing the displayed artwork or photo.
Changing Artwork:
- Remove the frame from the wall or tabletop.
- Lay the frame face down on a clean, flat surface.
- Unbend or rotate the metal clips holding the backing board.
- Remove the backing board and the current artwork.
- Insert the new artwork or photo.
- Replace the backing board and secure the metal clips.
- Re-hang or re-position the frame as desired.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Frame:
- Wipe the frame and plastic front protection with a dry cloth or a cloth dampened with water.
- For stubborn marks on the plastic front protection, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for plastics.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the frame's finish or the plastic front.
- Ensure the frame is completely dry before re-hanging or placing it.
