Model: 9000107

Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and setup of your Greenworks 12V 55lbs Trolling Motor. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product.

The Greenworks Electric Trolling Motor features 55 lbs of thrust and a 36-inch composite shaft. It offers 5 forward speeds and 3 reverse speeds, controlled by a pivoting tiller handle. The shaft is easily adjustable for varying water depths, and durable clamping knobs ensure secure attachment. A bracket adjustment lever allows for vertical positioning, shallow water angling, or complete tilt out of the water. The weedless propeller is designed to maximize run time by pushing away weeds. An integrated LED display provides an accurate indication of the remaining battery charge. This motor is designed for boats up to 15 feet and requires a deep cycle 12V marine battery (sold separately).

Maintenance

  • Regular Cleaning: After each use, especially in saltwater, rinse the motor with fresh water to prevent corrosion.
  • Propeller Inspection: Periodically check the propeller for any fishing line, weeds, or debris that may be wrapped around it. Remove any obstructions to ensure optimal performance.
  • Battery Care: Ensure your 12V marine battery is properly charged and maintained according to the battery manufacturer's instructions. Disconnect the battery when the motor is not in use for extended periods.
  • Connection Check: Regularly inspect all electrical connections for corrosion or looseness. Clean and tighten as necessary.

Troubleshooting

Motor Not Operating

  • Check Battery Connection: Ensure the power cables are securely connected to the 12V marine battery terminals with correct polarity.
  • Verify Battery Charge: Check the LED battery indicator on the motor head. If the charge is low, recharge the battery.
  • Inspect Propeller: Ensure the propeller is free from obstructions (e.g., fishing line, weeds) that might prevent it from spinning.

Reduced Performance

  • Battery Condition: A weak or old battery may not provide sufficient power. Consider testing or replacing the battery.
  • Propeller Damage: A damaged or bent propeller can reduce thrust. Inspect and replace if necessary.
  • Weed Buildup: Even with a weedless design, excessive weeds can reduce efficiency. Clear any buildup.
