3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation and Charging
Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use. The kit includes one DCB204 20V MAX* Battery and a DCB115 Charger.

To install the battery, align the battery with the tool's battery port and slide it in until it clicks securely into place. To remove, press the release button and slide the battery out.
3.2 Loading Nails
The nailer uses 21-degree plastic collated nails. The magazine can hold up to 49 nails.

- Pull back the pusher latch on the magazine until it locks into the open position.
- Insert a strip of 21-degree plastic collated nails into the top of the magazine. Ensure the nails are oriented correctly with the nail heads facing up.
- Release the pusher latch. It will push the nails forward towards the nosepiece.
4. Operating the Nailer
4.1 Firing Modes
The nailer features a tool-free selector switch to choose between sequential and bump-fire modes.

- Sequential Fire Mode: For precise nail placement. The tool must be pressed against the workpiece and the trigger pulled for each nail.
- Bump-Fire Mode: For rapid nailing. The tool will fire a nail each time the contact trip is pressed against the workpiece while the trigger is held.

4.2 Depth Adjustment
Adjust the nailing depth without tools for flush or countersunk nails.

Locate the depth adjustment dial near the nosepiece. Rotate the dial to increase or decrease the nailing depth. Test on a scrap piece of material to achieve the desired depth.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Keep the tool clean and free of debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals.
5.2 Jam Clearing
In the event of a nail jam, first disconnect the battery. Use the stall release lever to reset the driver blade. If necessary, open the nosepiece for easy access to remove jammed nails.
5.3 Storage
Store the tool in a dry, secure location out of reach of children. Remove the battery before storing for extended periods.

- Tool not firing: Check battery charge, ensure nails are loaded correctly, verify contact trip is fully depressed against workpiece.
- Nails not sinking fully: Adjust depth setting, ensure battery is fully charged, check for proper nail size for the material.
- Nails jamming frequently: Ensure correct nail type and size are used, clean the magazine and nosepiece, check for damaged nails.
- Dry fire lockout: Reload nails if the magazine is empty or low.
