Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Prepare for Installation: Turn off power at the circuit breaker. Clear the work area.
  2. Install Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to a ceiling joist or a suitable support structure using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached and can support the fan's weight.
  3. Assemble Downrod: Feed the electrical wires from the fan motor through the downrod. Insert the downrod into the motor housing and secure it with the provided pin and screws.
  4. Hang Fan Assembly: Carefully lift the fan assembly and hang it from the mounting bracket. This allows for easier wiring.
  5. Make Electrical Connections: Connect the fan's electrical wires to the household wiring according to the wiring diagram in the manual. Typically, this involves connecting live, neutral, and ground wires using wire nuts. Ensure all connections are secure.
  6. Attach Fan Blades: Secure each of the five palm-style blades to the blade holders using the provided screws and washers. Then, attach the assembled blade and holder units to the fan motor.
  7. Install Light Fixture: Connect the light fixture wires to the corresponding wires from the fan motor. Secure the light fixture to the bottom of the fan motor housing.
  8. Install Light Bulbs: Screw five E26 base light bulbs (not included) into the sockets within the light cage. Note: Bulbs should be 4 inches or shorter tip to tip to fit within the cage.
  9. Secure Canopy: Slide the canopy up the downrod and secure it to the mounting bracket, covering the electrical connections.
  10. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
