Setup

1. Guide Bar and Saw Chain Installation

4. Carefully fit the saw chain around the drive sprocket and into the guide bar groove. Ensure the cutting edges of the chain are facing forward on the top of the guide bar.
5. Replace the clutch cover, ensuring the chain tensioner pin engages with the hole in the guide bar. Hand-tighten the nuts.
6. Adjust Chain Tension: Using the chain tensioning screw, adjust the chain until it fits snugly against the guide bar, but can still be pulled around by hand without binding. The chain should not sag on the underside of the bar.
7. Tighten the clutch cover nuts securely.

2. Fuel and Chain Oil Filling

Operating Instructions

1. Starting the Chainsaw (Cold Start)

1. Place the chainsaw on a firm, level surface. Ensure the guide bar and chain are clear of any objects.
2. Engage the chain brake by pushing the front hand guard forward.
3. Press the decompression valve (if equipped).
4. Pull out the choke lever fully.
5. Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible.
6. Hold the chainsaw firmly with one hand on the front handle and place your foot through the rear handle.
7. Pull the starter rope handle slowly until resistance is felt, then pull sharply and quickly until the engine fires (usually a few pulls).
8. As soon as the engine fires, push the choke lever halfway in (half-choke position).
9. Pull the starter rope again until the engine starts and runs.
10. Once the engine is running, push the choke lever fully in. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments.
11. Disengage the chain brake by pulling the front hand guard back towards the front handle. The chain will now rotate.

• Pull the starter rope until the engine starts.
