1. Product Overview

The MKBOO Steam Hair Straightener is designed to provide professional-grade hair straightening with the added benefit of steam hydration. It features nano titanium ceramic plates, a removable comb, digital LCD temperature control, and an auto-lock function for safe and effective styling.

2. Setup

Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed and the device is intact.

2.1. Package Contents

2.2. Filling the Water Tank

The straightener features a 40ML removable water tank for the steam function. Use the provided kettle to fill the tank with distilled water. Ensure the tank is securely reinserted before use.

2.3. Attaching/Removing the Comb

The 3D comb is removable. To attach, align the comb with the slots on the straightener and push gently until it clicks into place. To remove, pull the comb horizontally away from the straightener.

3. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for optimal performance and hair health.

3.1. Power On/Off and Temperature Adjustment

Plug the device into a suitable power outlet. Press and hold the power button to turn on. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the temperature. The digital LCD screen will display the current temperature. The device heats up to the desired temperature in approximately one minute.

• 300°F: For fragile hair
• 340°F: For thin hair
• 375°F: For normal hair
• 410°F: For coarse hair
• 450°F: For very coarse hair

3.2. Steam Function

Press the steam ON/OFF button to activate or deactivate the steam function. The 7 steam holes ensure a constant 4.5g/min steam eruption, allowing water ions to penetrate hair, locking in moisture and reducing damage.

3.3. Hair Straightening Technique

Ensure hair is clean and dry before straightening. For best results, section your hair. The 3D combs help to neatly comb hair before straightening, preventing tearing and improving the straightening effect. Pull the straightener horizontally through hair to avoid knots.

The titanium plating aluminum plate seals hair cuticles, providing a smooth, silky, natural lustrous look and reducing split ends and knotting.

4. Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your straightener.

• Cleaning Plates: Ensure the device is unplugged and completely cool. Wipe the ceramic plates with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
• Water Tank: After each use, it is recommended to empty any remaining water from the tank to prevent mineral buildup. The tank is removable for easy cleaning.
• Storage: Store the straightener in a cool, dry place. The 360-degree swivel power cord prevents tangling during storage.

5. Troubleshooting

• Device Not Heating: Ensure the straightener is properly plugged into a working outlet and the power button is pressed. Check the LCD display for temperature settings.
• No Steam Output: Verify that the water tank is filled with distilled water and securely inserted. Ensure the steam function is activated via the steam ON/OFF button.
• Auto Shut-off: The MKBOO hair straightener flat iron is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature. It will turn off after 60 minutes of inactivity for safety. Simply power it on again if needed.
• Hair Snagging: Ensure the removable comb is properly attached. If you have very thick hair, consider removing the comb before use to prevent snagging.
