Introduction
The Ocean Digital WR230S is a versatile internet radio designed to provide a comprehensive audio experience. It features Internet Radio, DAB/DAB+, FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and UPnP/DLNA network audio streaming. This device also includes a dual alarm clock, sleep timer, and a 2.4-inch color display. Setup
1. Power Connection
- Connect the supplied power adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the WR230S radio.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard wall outlet.
- Switch the power ON/OFF button on the rear panel to the 'ON' position.
2. Network Connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)
The WR230S supports both wireless (Wi-Fi) and wired (Ethernet) network connections for internet radio and streaming features.

Wi-Fi Connection:
- Upon first power-on, the radio will guide you through the initial setup, including network configuration.
- Select "Wireless Network" from the menu.
- The radio will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your network from the list.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password using the control knob and buttons. Confirm the password to connect.
Ethernet (LAN) Connection:
- Connect an Ethernet cable from your router or network switch to the RJ45 LAN port on the rear of the WR230S.
- The radio will automatically detect the wired connection and obtain an IP address via DHCP.

3. Initial Setup and Time/Date
After establishing a network connection, the radio will automatically set the time and date. You can adjust language and other basic settings through the system menu.

1. Main Controls
- Power Button: Turns the radio on or off (standby).
- Tune/Select Knob: Rotate to navigate menus or adjust volume. Press to confirm selections.
- Menu Button: Accesses the main menu.
- Back Button: Returns to the previous screen/menu.
- Preset Buttons: Store and recall favorite stations.
2. Internet Radio
Access over 20,000 internet radio stations worldwide.
- From the main menu, select "Internet Radio".
- Browse stations by location, genre, or use the search function.
- Select a station to begin playback.
- To add a station to favorites, press the "Local" or "Favorite" button during playback. The radio supports up to 99 favorite presets.
3. DAB/DAB+ Radio
Listen to digital audio broadcast stations.
- From the main menu, select "DAB Radio".
- The radio will perform a scan for available DAB/DAB+ stations.
- Select a station from the list to listen.
4. FM Radio
Tune into traditional FM radio broadcasts.
- From the main menu, select "FM Radio".
- Use the Tune/Select knob to manually tune or press it to auto-scan for stations.
5. Bluetooth Connectivity
Stream audio from your Bluetooth-enabled devices to the WR230S.
- From the main menu, select "Bluetooth".
- The radio will enter pairing mode and become discoverable.
- On your mobile device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "WR230S" to pair.
- Once paired, you can play audio from your device through the radio.
6. UPnP/DLNA Network Audio Streaming
Play music files from compatible network servers (e.g., a PC or NAS).
- Ensure your UPnP/DLNA server is active and sharing media on the same network as the WR230S.
- From the main menu, select "Media Center" or "UPnP/DLNA".
- Browse your shared media folders and select tracks for playback.
7. Alarm Clock
Set up to two independent alarms.
- Access the "Alarm" settings from the main menu.
- Configure Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 with desired time, duration, source (tone or favorite station), and repeat settings.
- Ensure the alarm is enabled.
8. Sleep Timer
Set the radio to automatically turn off after a specified period.
- Access the "Sleep Timer" settings from the main menu.
- Select the desired duration (e.g., 15, 30, 60 minutes).
9. Equalizer Settings
Adjust audio output to your preference.
- Navigate to "Equalizer" in the system settings.
- Choose from preset equalizer modes or customize your own.
10. Remote Control
The included remote control provides convenient access to most functions.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included) into the remote control.
- Point the remote control towards the front of the radio.
- Functions include power, volume, mode selection, navigation, and preset access.

Maintenance
Cleaning
- Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning.
