Installation Steps (General)
- Preparation: Disconnect the negative terminal of your vehicle's battery to prevent electrical shorts.
- Mounting: Securely mount the media receiver in the double-DIN opening of your vehicle's dashboard using appropriate mounting brackets (sold separately, if needed). Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

- Rear View Camera (Optional): If installing a rear view camera, connect its video output to the dedicated camera input on the media receiver and its power to the reverse light circuit.

Operating Instructions
Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Press and hold the HOME button to turn the unit on or off.
- Volume Control: Use the rotary volume knob to adjust the audio level.
- Source Selection: Tap the "HOME" button to access the main menu and select your desired audio source (Tuner, SXM, BT Audio, USB, etc.).
- ATT (Attenuate): Press the ATT button to instantly lower the volume. Press again to restore the previous volume level.
Apple CarPlay
Apple CarPlay seamlessly integrates your iPhone with the media receiver, allowing you to access navigation, make calls, send messages, and listen to music using Siri voice control or the touchscreen.
- Connect iPhone: Connect your iPhone to the USB port of the media receiver using a certified USB cable.
- Launch CarPlay: Apple CarPlay will automatically launch on the screen. If not, select the CarPlay icon from the home screen.
- Voice Control (Siri): Press and hold the "OPTION/VOICE" button on the unit or the voice button on the CarPlay screen to activate Siri.
- Navigation: Use Apple Maps or other compatible navigation apps directly on the receiver's screen.
- Communication: Make and receive calls, and send/receive messages via Siri or the touchscreen interface.
Bluetooth Connectivity
Connect your smartphone wirelessly for audio streaming and hands-free calling.
- Pairing Mode: On the media receiver, navigate to the Bluetooth settings and select "Pairing Mode."
- Enable Bluetooth on Phone: On your smartphone, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select Device: Select "XAVAX1000" from the list of devices on your phone. Confirm the pairing code if prompted.
- Hands-Free Calling: Once paired, you can make and receive calls directly through the media receiver.

Rear View Camera
The unit is ready for a rear view camera, providing a clear view of the area behind your vehicle for safer parking and reversing.
- When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the display will automatically switch to the rear view camera feed (if installed and wired correctly).
- The camera view can also be accessed manually from the home screen if desired.
Audio Features
- EXTRABASS: Enhance low-end frequencies for a richer bass experience. This feature can be activated or adjusted in the audio settings.
- Dynamic Stage Organizer (DSO): Create virtual speakers on your dashboard to improve sound staging and clarity, making the audio sound like it's coming from directly in front of you. Adjust DSO settings in the audio menu.
