5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Remote Control Functions

The system is controlled using the provided remote control. Each button has a specific function:

  • Arm Button (Locked padlock icon): Activates the alarm system. The siren will sound if any linked sensor is triggered.
  • Disarm Button (Unlocked padlock icon): Deactivates the alarm system. The siren will stop if it is currently alarming.
  • Home Arm Button (House icon): Activates a partial arming mode, typically for perimeter protection while occupants are inside.
  • SOS Button: Triggers an immediate alarm, regardless of the system's arming status.

5.2 Triggering the Alarm with Sensors

The system works with various wireless sensors, such as door/window sensors and passive infrared (PIR) motion detectors. When the system is armed and a sensor is triggered, the siren will activate.

  1. Door/Window Sensor: When the two parts of the door/window sensor are separated (e.g., a door or window is opened), the sensor sends a signal to the siren, triggering the alarm.
  2. Motion Detector: If a passive infrared (PIR) motion detector senses movement within its detection zone while the system is armed, it will trigger the siren.

Video 2: Demonstration of the alarm being triggered by a door sensor and a motion detector, showing the siren and strobe light activation. The video also shows arming and disarming the system with the remote control.

5.3 Anti-Tamper Alarm

The siren unit is equipped with an anti-tamper feature. If the unit is forcibly removed from its mounting bracket or tampered with while armed, it will trigger the alarm, providing an additional layer of security.

Video 3: Demonstration of the anti-tamper alarm feature. The video shows the siren activating when the unit is removed from its mounting, indicating a security breach.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Solar Charging and Battery Life

The Wolf Guard LB-W06 is designed for low maintenance due to its solar charging capability. The integrated solar panel continuously charges the internal lithium battery. Even in periods of low sunlight, the battery can sustain operation for 15 days or more.

  • Ensure the solar panel is kept clean and free from obstructions (e.g., dirt, leaves) to maximize charging efficiency.
  • Position the unit in a location that receives ample direct sunlight throughout the day.
