Setup

1. Inserting the SIM Card(s) and Battery

Your Philips Xenium E168 supports dual SIM functionality. Follow these steps to insert your SIM cards and the battery:

  1. Carefully remove the back cover of the phone.
  2. Locate the SIM card slots. Insert your SIM card(s) into the designated slots, ensuring the gold contacts face downwards and the card is correctly oriented as indicated on the phone.
  3. Insert the battery into its compartment, aligning the contacts.
  4. Replace the back cover until it clicks securely into place.

2. Inserting a Micro SD Card (Optional)

To expand storage for photos, videos, and other files, you can insert a Micro SD card (up to 16GB):

  1. With the back cover removed, locate the Micro SD card slot, usually adjacent to the SIM card slots.
  2. Gently push the Micro SD card into the slot until it locks into place.
  3. Replace the back cover.

3. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the phone's battery:

  1. Connect the charger to the charging port on the phone.
  2. Plug the charger into a power outlet.
  3. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging progress. Disconnect the charger once the battery is full.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power/End Call button until the screen lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/End Call button until the power off options appear, then select 'Power off'.

2. Keypad Layout and Navigation

  • Navigation Keys: Use the directional keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) and the central 'OK' button to navigate menus and select options.

  • Making a Call: Enter the phone number using the keypad and press the Call/Send key.
  • Receiving a Call: When a call comes in, press the Call/Send key to answer.
