Important Safeguards

  • A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
  • Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.

Setup

Before First Use

  1. Unpack the toaster and remove all packaging materials.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the toaster in water.
  3. Ensure the crumb tray is properly inserted.
  4. For the first use, operate the toaster without bread for 2-3 cycles at the highest setting (6) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate.
  5. Allow the toaster to cool completely between cycles.

Operating Instructions

Basic Toasting

  1. Place up to four slices of bread, bagels, or other items into the toasting slots.
  2. Select your desired browning level using the Toast Shade Selector dial (settings 1-6).
  3. Press the carriage lever down until it locks into place. The toasting cycle will begin.
  4. Once the desired browning is achieved, the toast will automatically pop up.
  5. To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the CANCEL/EJECT button.

Using Reheat Function

The Reheat function allows you to warm up already toasted bread without further browning.

  1. Place the previously toasted item into the slots.
  2. Press the carriage lever down.
  3. Press the REHEAT button. The indicator light will illuminate.
  4. The toaster will complete a short reheating cycle and automatically pop up.

Using Defrost Function

The Defrost function is ideal for toasting frozen bread, bagels, or waffles.

  1. Place the frozen item into the slots.
  2. Select your desired browning level using the Toast Shade Selector dial.
  3. Press the carriage lever down.
  4. Press the DEFROST button. The indicator light will illuminate.
  5. The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time to defrost and toast the item.

Using the Warming Rack

The built-in warming rack is perfect for gently warming croissants, buns, or other pastries.

  1. Flip up the warming rack located on top of the toaster.
  2. Place the items to be warmed on the rack.
  3. Set the Toast Shade Selector dial to a low setting (e.g., 1 or 2).
  4. Press the carriage lever down.
  5. Monitor the items closely to prevent over-warming or burning.
  6. Once warmed, lift the carriage lever to release, or press the CANCEL/EJECT button.
  7. Flip the warming rack back down when not in use.

Toast Shade Settings

The toaster features 6 adjustable browning levels to suit individual preferences:

  • Setting 1-2: Light toast, gently warmed.
  • Setting 3-4: Medium toast, golden brown.
  • Setting 5-6: Dark toast, crispy and well-browned.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.

Cleaning the Crumb Tray

  1. Always unplug the toaster and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Pull out the slide-out crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster.
  3. Discard accumulated crumbs.
  4. Wipe the crumb tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  5. Slide the crumb tray back into place until it locks securely.

Cleaning the Exterior

  1. Ensure the toaster is unplugged and cool.
  2. Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
  3. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
  4. Dry thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth.
