Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons. This appliance incorporates 9 safety levels to control and limit temperature, pressure, and power, ensuring safe operation.
- Read all instructions.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the main unit in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- This appliance cooks under pressure. Improper use may result in scalding injury. Make certain unit is properly closed before operating.
- Never force open the pressure cooker. Ensure internal pressure is completely released before opening.
- Do not fill the unit over 2/3 full. When cooking foods that expand during cooking, such as rice or dried vegetables, do not fill the unit over 1/2 full.
- Always check the pressure release valve and float valve for clogging before use.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the inner pot, lid, and accessories (measuring cup, spatulas) with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
- Placement: Place the pressure cooker on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from direct heat sources or water. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Inner Pot Insertion: Place the non-stick coated inner pot into the main unit. Ensure it sits correctly and is not tilted.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into the designated port on the cooker, then into a grounded electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
Basic Operation:
- Add Ingredients: Place desired ingredients and liquid into the inner pot. Observe the water level indicator. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
- Close Lid: Place the lid on the cooker, aligning the arrow on the lid with the arrow on the base. Rotate the lid clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure the pressure release valve is in the "Sealing" position for pressure cooking.
- Select Cooking Function:
- Pre-programmed Menus: Press the "Menu" button repeatedly to cycle through the 15 pre-programmed Indian recipes (Rice, Khichdi, Veg Biryani, Dal, Rajma, Soup, Idli, Steam Veg, Cake, Pav Bhaji, Gajar Halwa, Veg Curry, Chicken, Meat, Sauté). The selected program will illuminate on the display.
- Manual Cooking: For custom cooking, select a program and adjust time and pressure settings using the '+' and '-' buttons if available, or refer to the recipe pamphlet for specific manual settings.
- Start Cooking: Once a program is selected, the cooker will automatically begin the pre-heating and cooking process. The display will show the cooking time countdown.
- Pressure Release: After cooking, the cooker will automatically switch to the "Auto-Warm" function. To release pressure, carefully turn the pressure release valve to the "Venting" position. Caution: Steam will be released forcefully. Keep hands and face clear.
- Open Lid: Once all pressure is released (the float valve drops down), rotate the lid counter-clockwise to open.

Delay Timer Function:
The Delay Timer allows you to set a specific time for the cooking process to begin. This function is useful for preparing meals in advance.
- Add ingredients and close the lid as per basic operation.
- Select your desired cooking program.
- Press the "Delay Timer" button. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired delay time (from 30 minutes to 8 hours).
- The cooker will start cooking automatically after the set delay time has elapsed.
Auto-Warm Function:
After any cooking program finishes, the cooker will automatically switch to the "Auto-Warm" mode. This function keeps your food warm for up to 4 hours without overcooking. The display will show the elapsed warming time.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your electric pressure cooker.
- Unplug: Always unplug the cooker from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Inner Pot: The aluminium non-stick coated inner pot is dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash it with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Lid: Remove the sealing gasket and anti-block shield from the lid. Wash the lid, gasket, and shield with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry. Ensure the gasket is properly re-installed before next use. Check the pressure release valve and float valve for any food debris and clean if necessary.
- Main Unit Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are dry before storing. Store the cooker in a dry place.
