Setup

4. Perform an initial cleaning cycle: Fill the water reservoir to the MAX line with clean water. Place the empty reusable filter basket in the brew basket housing. Close the lid. Run a full brew cycle without coffee grounds. Discard the water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.

Operating Instructions

Basic Brewing

1. Open the top lid of the coffee maker.
2. Fill the glass carafe with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. Refer to the water level markings on the carafe and the reservoir.
3. Pour the water from the carafe into the water reservoir.
4. Place the reusable filter basket into the brew basket housing.
5. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the reusable filter basket. Use the provided measuring scoop for accurate measurement (approximately 1 scoop per cup).
6. Close the top lid securely.
7. Place the empty glass carafe on the warming plate.
8. Press the "ON/OFF" button to start brewing. The LCD display will illuminate.

Brew Strength Selection (1-4 Cup Feature)

For smaller quantities (1-4 cups) with full carafe taste, or to select a bolder brew:

1. Follow steps 1-6 of Basic Brewing.
2. To activate the 1-4 cup feature, press and hold the "PROGRAM" button until a beep is heard and the display indicates the 1-4 cup setting.
3. To select a bolder coffee strength, press and hold the "ON/OFF" button until the display indicates the bold setting.

Special Cleaning Cycle (Descaling)
