General Usage Guidelines

The wand can be used with either end, depending on the angle required and the area being targeted. It can be inserted vaginally or rectally. When first using the wand, start with the thinner, longer end. Insert it gently about an inch into the vaginal or rectal opening to get a sense of how it feels. Gently sweep the wand in a circular motion to identify any tender points. If a tender point is found, apply gentle, tomato-touch pressure (never pushing harder than you would to check a tomato for ripeness). Some individuals benefit from gently moving their leg (with the knee bent) rocking in and out while applying pressure. Once the superficial area is relieved, you may insert the wand a bit deeper, up to about two inches, and continue gently sweeping. Be mindful of the urethral tissue, which can be sensitive. Avoid compressing too far forward in the 12 o'clock position if it causes discomfort. Take it slow during the first couple of weeks, using the wand for no more than 5 to 10 minutes per session.

Optimal Positioning for Wand Training Therapy

To enhance the effectiveness of your wand therapy and promote pelvic floor relaxation, consider various body positions. These positions can also help prepare the pelvic floor for activities that require different body movements, such as pain-free intercourse. Common positions include: hands and knees, lying on your back with feet up against a wall (allowing knees to relax open), and a deep squat (supported against a wall or in a corner). Experiment to find the position that best suits your needs and allows for optimal relaxation and access to target areas.

Breathing Exercises for Pelvic Pain

Proper breathing is crucial for managing pelvic pain and tension. Many individuals with pelvic pain tend to breathe shallowly, using their chest, which can increase tension in the neck and shoulders. This shallow breathing can also lead to breath-holding, further straining the body and the pelvic floor. The pelvic floor and diaphragm work together like a piston: as you inhale, the diaphragm pulls down, and the pelvic floor should also drop slightly. As you exhale, the diaphragm lifts, and the pelvic floor should lift as well. To practice beneficial breathing, lie on your back with knees bent and feet planted (or flat if comfortable). Place one hand on your chest and one on your belly. The goal is to keep the hand on your chest still while breathing up into the hand on your belly, allowing the abdomen to gently rise on inhale and fall on exhale. This maximizes the natural mechanics of your body to promote pelvic floor relaxation and better circulation.

Troubleshooting

Charging Issues

If the wand is not charging, ensure the magnetic charging contacts are clean and properly aligned with the charging port on the wand. The magnetic connection should be secure. If the connection is loose or frequently disconnects, try adjusting the position or ensuring the wand is placed on a stable surface during charging. If issues persist, contact customer support.
