Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to cook rice with your Vonshef Rice Cooker:

  1. Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One cup of uncooked rice typically yields 2-3 cups of cooked rice.
  2. Rinse Rice (Optional): Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch.
  3. Add Rice and Water: Place the rinsed rice into the non-stick inner pot. Add the appropriate amount of water. A common ratio is 1 cup of rice to 1.5-2 cups of water, but this can vary based on rice type and desired consistency. Refer to the measurement guidelines on the inner pot.
  4. Close Lid: Place the glass lid securely on the rice cooker.
  5. Start Cooking: Plug the rice cooker into the power outlet. Press the 'COOK' switch down. The 'COOK' indicator light will illuminate.
  6. Automatic Keep Warm: Once the rice is cooked, the cooker will automatically switch to 'WARM' mode, and the 'WARM' indicator light will illuminate. This function keeps the rice at an optimal serving temperature without overcooking.
  7. Serve: Open the lid carefully to avoid steam burns. Use the provided serving spoon to fluff and serve the rice.
