The slow cooking function has a maximum operation time of 6 hours.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and safe operation of your siroca Electric Pressure Cooker.

Cleaning After Each Use

  1. Unplug the Unit: Always ensure the pressure cooker is unplugged and completely cooled before cleaning.
  2. Remove Components: Detach the inner pot, lid, sealing gasket, and any other removable parts.
  3. Wash Removable Parts: The inner pot is made of stainless steel and is indicated as dishwasher safe. However, for best results and to prolong the life of all components, hand washing with warm, soapy water is recommended for the lid, sealing gasket, and other small parts. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  4. Clean Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water.
  5. Check Gasket: Inspect the sealing gasket for any food debris, cracks, or deformation. A clean and properly seated gasket is crucial for safe pressure cooking.

Addressing Odors

The sealing gasket may absorb odors from strong-smelling foods. To minimize this, ensure thorough cleaning after each use. For persistent odors, you can try soaking the gasket in a solution of white vinegar and water, or baking soda and water, then rinsing thoroughly.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your siroca Electric Pressure Cooker, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Unit does not power on:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the unit and a working electrical outlet.
    • Check if the outlet is functional by plugging in another appliance.

    • Confirm that sufficient liquid has been added to the inner pot as required by the recipe.

    • Review your recipe and ensure the correct cooking time and pressure level were selected.
    • For manual settings, adjust the pressure time as needed for future use.

    • This can sometimes occur with new appliances or when cooking strong-smelling foods. Ensure all parts are clean.
    • If the odor persists or is accompanied by smoke, unplug the unit immediately and contact customer support.
  • Gasket becomes loose or falls out:
    • The small gasket on the inner lid handle may become loose over time. Reinsert it carefully.
