2. Setup and Preparation

Before applying the Fischer Repair Spatula, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from loose particles. No special tools are required for setup.

1. Remove Packaging: Carefully remove the repair filler tube from its packaging.
2. Open Seal: Unscrew the white cap from the tube. Remove the protective seal from the nozzle.
3. Attach Spatula: Screw the white cap back onto the tube, ensuring it is tightened completely. This action will break the internal seal, preparing the filler for use. The red spatula attachment can be placed on the nozzle for convenient storage and immediate use.

3. Operating Instructions

The Fischer Repair Spatula is designed for straightforward application. Follow these steps for optimal results:

1. Apply Filler: Gently squeeze the tube to dispense the acrylic filler directly into the hole or crack. Apply enough filler to slightly overfill the imperfection.
2. Smooth with Spatula: Use the integrated red spatula to smooth out the applied filler. Press firmly to ensure the filler is pushed deep into the hole and flush with the surrounding surface. Remove any excess material.
3. Layering (for larger holes): For larger holes (up to 12mm), it may be beneficial to apply the filler in multiple thin layers, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next. This ensures proper curing and minimizes the risk of cracking.
4. Drying Time: The filler hardens quickly. Allow a full cure time of 48 hours before sanding or painting.

4. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity of your Fischer Repair Spatula and its effectiveness for future use, proper maintenance is key:

• Clean Spatula: Immediately after use, clean any excess filler from the integrated spatula. This can be easily done by running it under warm water.
• Seal Tube: Ensure the white cap is tightly screwed back onto the tube after each use. The integrated spatula also acts as a lid, helping to maintain the filler's freshness and prevent it from drying out.
• Storage: Store the product in a cool, dry place. The filler has good storage stability and is resistant to aging.

5. Troubleshooting

While the Fischer Repair Spatula is designed for ease of use, here are some common issues and their solutions:

• Filler is Hard: If the filler has hardened in the tube, it indicates exposure to air. Unfortunately, hardened filler cannot be restored. Ensure the cap is always tightly sealed after use.
• Filler Not Adhering: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust or loose debris before application. The filler requires a stable surface to adhere properly.
• Uneven Surface After Drying: This may occur if not enough filler was applied or if it wasn't smoothed adequately. Apply another thin layer and smooth carefully. Sanding after complete drying will also help achieve a perfectly smooth finish.
• Cracks in Repaired Area: For very large or deep holes, applying the filler in multiple thin layers is recommended to prevent cracking as it dries. Ensure each layer is dry before applying the next.
