  1. Before first use, wash the glass carafe and reusable filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
  3. Run two full carafes of water through the coffee maker without coffee grounds to clean the internal components. Discard the water.

3.2 Placement

Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable surface. Ensure it is away from the edge of the counter and any heat sources. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Setting the Clock

  1. Plug in the coffee maker. The LCD display will flash.
  2. Press the "HOUR" button to set the hour. Press and hold for rapid advance.
  3. Press the "MIN" button to set the minutes. Press and hold for rapid advance.
  4. The clock is now set.

4.2 Brewing Coffee

  1. Fill the glass carafe with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. The external water level indicator on the side of the coffee maker displays markings for 4 to 12 cups.
  2. Pour the water into the water reservoir.
  3. Place the reusable filter into the filter basket. If using a paper filter, ensure it is a basket-style filter and place it in the filter basket.
  4. Add the desired amount of ground coffee to the filter. A general guideline is one level tablespoon of coffee per cup. Adjust to personal preference.
  5. Close the top lid securely.
  6. Place the empty glass carafe onto the warming plate.
  7. Press the "ON/OFF" button to begin brewing. The indicator light will illuminate.
  8. The coffee maker will brew the coffee and keep it warm on the non-stick warming plate for two hours before automatically shutting off.

4.3 Programmable Brewing

To set the coffee maker to brew automatically at a later time:

  1. Follow steps 1-6 from "4.2 Brewing Coffee".
  2. Press the "PROG" button. The display will show "PROGRAM" and flash.
  3. Use the "HOUR" and "MIN" buttons to set the desired brew time.
  4. Press the "PROG" button again to confirm. The "PROGRAM" indicator light will illuminate.
  5. The coffee maker will automatically start brewing at the set time.

4.4 Drip Stop Function

The Drip Stop function allows you to pause brewing and pour a cup of coffee before the full carafe is complete. Simply remove the carafe from the warming plate. The brewing will pause temporarily. Return the carafe to the warming plate within 20 seconds to resume brewing and prevent overflow.

4.5 Strength Setting

Press the "STRENGTH" button to adjust the brewing strength. This feature slows down the brewing process to allow for maximum flavor extraction, resulting in a bolder cup of coffee.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

5.1 Daily Cleaning

  1. Always unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the reusable filter and discard used coffee grounds. Wash the filter in warm, soapy water or place it in the top rack of a dishwasher.
  3. Wash the glass carafe and its lid in warm, soapy water or place them in the top rack of a dishwasher.
  4. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker, warming plate, and water reservoir with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  5. Do not immerse the coffee maker in water or any other liquid.

5.2 Descaling (Mineral Deposit Removal)

Mineral deposits (calcium and lime) can build up in your coffee maker and affect its performance. Descale regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use.

  1. Mix 2-4 tablespoons of white vinegar with a full carafe of water.
  2. Pour the mixture into the water reservoir.
  3. Place an empty filter (without coffee) in the filter basket and close the lid.
  4. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  5. Press the "ON/OFF" button to start a brewing cycle.
  6. After half the mixture has brewed, turn off the coffee maker and let it soak for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Turn the coffee maker back on and allow the remaining mixture to brew through.
  8. Discard the mixture and run two full carafes of fresh, cold water through the coffee maker to rinse thoroughly.
