Setup Instructions

  1. Inspect the Nozzle: Ensure the nozzle is free from any damage and that the pre-installed rubber washer is securely in place at the inlet connection. This washer is crucial for preventing leaks.
  2. Prepare the Hose: Take your standard 3/4-inch Garden Hose Thread (GHT) garden hose. Ensure the end of the hose is clean and free of debris.
  3. Attach the Nozzle: Screw the AUTOMAN Garden Hose Nozzle onto the threaded end of your garden hose. Turn clockwise until it is hand-tight. Avoid over-tightening, as this can damage the threads or the washer.
  4. Check for Leaks: Turn on the water supply to the hose. Observe the connection point between the nozzle and the hose for any leaks. If leaks occur, tighten slightly or re-seat the rubber washer.

Using the Trigger and Lock Bar

The nozzle features an ergonomic pistol grip trigger for comfortable operation. To activate water flow, squeeze the trigger. For continuous watering without constant pressure, engage the lock bar located at the top of the handle. Push the lock bar forward to keep the trigger compressed, and pull it back to release.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the nozzle head to prevent mineral buildup or debris from obstructing the spray patterns. Use a soft brush and water.
  • Storage: During colder months or when not in use for extended periods, disconnect the nozzle from the hose and store it in a dry, frost-free location to prevent damage.
  • Washer Replacement: If you notice persistent leaks from the hose connection, inspect the rubber washer. Replace it if it appears worn or damaged.
