- Ensure you have an elongated toilet. Refer to the dimensions diagram below.
- Confirm a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) electrical outlet is available within reach of the bidet's power cord.
- Turn off the water supply to your toilet before starting.
Installation Steps
- Remove Existing Toilet Seat: Lift the hinge covers, unscrew the mounting bolts, and remove the old toilet seat and lid.
- Install T-Valve: Turn off the water supply to the toilet. Flush the toilet to empty the tank. Disconnect the existing water supply hose from the toilet tank. Install the provided T-valve onto the toilet tank's fill valve. Reconnect the original water supply hose to the bottom of the T-valve.
- Attach Mounting Plate: Place the mounting plate over the toilet's bolt holes. Insert the mounting bolts through the plate and toilet holes, securing them from underneath with nuts. Adjust the plate position as needed.
- Slide Bidet Seat On: Align the SmartBidet seat with the mounting plate and slide it forward until it clicks securely into place.
- Connect Water Supply: Connect one end of the provided bidet water supply hose to the T-valve and the other end to the bidet seat's water inlet. Ensure all connections are hand-tightened, then use a wrench for a final snug fit, being careful not to overtighten.
- Connect Power: Plug the bidet seat's power cord into the GFCI electrical outlet.
- Restore Water Supply: Slowly turn on the water supply to the toilet. Check for any leaks.
- Test Functions: Once installed, test all bidet functions as described in the Operating Instructions section.
