Fytoo 3.7V USB Charging Cable Instruction Manual

For Heliway 903, 903HS, HS150 Four-Axis Aircraft Remote Control Drones

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Fytoo 3.7V USB Charging Cable. This cable is specifically designed to charge the lithium batteries used in Heliway 903, 903HS, and HS150 four-axis aircraft remote control drones. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper operation and prolong the life of your product and drone batteries.

2. Safety Information

  • Use only with compatible 3.7V lithium batteries for Heliway 903, 903HS, and HS150 drones.
  • Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Do not leave charging batteries unattended.
  • Keep the charging cable away from water, moisture, and high temperatures.
  • Do not modify or disassemble the charging cable.
  • If the cable or battery appears damaged, discontinue use immediately.
  • Ensure proper ventilation during charging.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your charging cable:

  1. Identify Components: The charging cable consists of a USB-A plug (for power input) and a white battery connector (for the drone battery).
  2. Connect to Power Source: Insert the USB-A plug of the charging cable into a standard USB power source, such as a computer USB port, a USB wall adapter (5V output), or a power bank.
  3. Prepare Battery: Ensure the drone battery is removed from the drone and is clean and dry.
  4. Connect Battery: Carefully align the white battery connector of the charging cable with the corresponding port on your Heliway drone battery. Push firmly until it clicks into place. Do not force the connection.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the cable is set up, follow these steps to charge your drone battery:

  1. Initiate Charging: After connecting the USB plug to a power source and the battery to the cable, the charging process will begin automatically.
  2. Charging Indicator: The charging cable may feature an indicator light (e.g., LED). Typically, a red light indicates charging in progress, and the light may turn off or change color (e.g., green) when charging is complete. Refer to your drone battery's specific instructions for exact charging status indications if available.
  3. Charging Time: Charging time varies depending on the battery capacity and its current charge level. Avoid overcharging by disconnecting the battery once fully charged.
  4. Disconnecting: Once charging is complete, first disconnect the battery from the charging cable, then unplug the USB cable from the power source.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your charging cable:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the cable and connectors. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the charging cable in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid bending or kinking the cable excessively.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the cable for any signs of damage, such as frayed wires, bent connectors, or cracked insulation. If damage is found, discontinue use and replace the cable.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your charging cable, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Battery Not Charging:
    • Ensure the USB plug is fully inserted into a working power source.
    • Verify that the battery connector is securely attached to the drone battery.
    • Try a different USB port or power adapter.
    • Check if the battery itself is damaged or fully depleted (some deeply discharged batteries may not respond to charging).
  • Slow Charging:
    • Ensure the USB power source provides sufficient current (e.g., a dedicated wall adapter is often better than a computer USB port).
    • Avoid using excessively long USB extension cables, which can reduce charging efficiency.
  • Cable Appears Damaged:
    • If there are visible signs of damage (frayed wires, bent pins), discontinue use immediately and replace the cable to prevent potential hazards.
