Operating Instructions

1. Blade Tensioning and Tracking:

2. Adjusting Blade Guides:

Adjust the blade guides so they are just clear of the blade teeth, providing support to the blade during cutting. The upper blade guide assembly should be adjusted to be approximately 1/4 inch above the workpiece.

3. Making Cuts:

1. Ensure the workpiece is free of nails, screws, or other foreign objects.
2. Place the workpiece firmly against the table.
3. Turn on the saw. Allow the blade to reach full speed before beginning the cut.
4. Feed the workpiece slowly and steadily into the blade. Do not force the material.
5. Use a push stick for small pieces or when your hands are close to the blade.
6. When the cut is complete, turn off the saw and wait for the blade to come to a complete stop before removing the workpiece.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning:

Regularly clean the saw, especially after each use. Remove sawdust and debris from the table, blade guides, and inside the blade housing. Use a vacuum cleaner or compressed air for effective dust removal. Ensure the saw is unplugged before cleaning.

2. Blade Replacement:

Replace the blade when it becomes dull or damaged. To replace, release the blade tension, carefully remove the old blade, and install the new blade ensuring it is properly seated on the wheels and within the guides. Re-tension and track the new blade.

3. Lubrication:

Periodically check moving parts for smooth operation. Apply a light machine oil to pivot points and adjustment mechanisms as needed, avoiding contact with the blade or drive belt.
