6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Basic Counting
- Ensure the machine is powered on.
- Prepare the notes: Ensure notes are neatly stacked, free from excessive creases, tears, or foreign objects. For best results, align the notes uniformly.
- Place the stack of notes into the hopper. The machine will automatically begin counting.
- The count will be displayed on the LCD screen.
Note: This machine accurately counts the number of notes for NEW INR ₹10, ₹20, ₹50, ₹100, ₹200, ₹500 & ₹2000. It is not a mix note counter and does not calculate the value of mixed denominations; it only counts the number of notes.
6.2 Fake Note Detection
The GB-5388-MG features advanced counterfeit detection using UV (Ultraviolet) and MG (Magnetic) properties. The machine automatically scans for these properties present in genuine notes.

Figure 6.1: The machine employs multiple detection methods including Magnetic Ink Verification, Infrared Sensor, UV Security Threat Detection, Thickness Verification, Dimensional Verification, Paper Quality Verification, Colour Changing Ink detection, and Fluorescence Analysis.
If a non-genuine note is detected, the LCD display will change to RED, and the machine will stop counting, indicating a suspicious note. Remove the suspicious note and resume counting.
6.3 Add and Batch Functions
The machine includes 'Add' and 'Batch' functions for enhanced efficiency:
- Add Function: Allows the machine to accumulate the total count of multiple batches of notes. Press the 'Add' button to activate this mode.
- Batch Function: Enables the machine to stop counting once a preset number of notes is reached. Use the 'Batch' button and numerical keys to set the desired batch size.
6.4 Single Denomination Value Count
This feature allows you to calculate the monetary value of a single denomination at a time:
- Prepare a stack of notes of a single denomination (e.g., ₹500 notes).
- Set the denomination you want to count by selecting the appropriate 'VALUE' setting (e.g., VALUE=500).
- Count the notes. The machine will display the total monetary value for that specific denomination.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the optimal performance and longevity of your GOBBLER note counting machine.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the machine, especially the sensors and rollers, using a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Dust Protection: Keep the machine sheltered from high dust conditions. Dust accumulation can affect counting accuracy and machine performance.
- Roller Inspection: Inspect the friction nudge rubber and motor rollers for wear or damage. These components are crucial for smooth note feeding.
