4. Setup

4.1 Power Supply

The clock can be powered by either USB or batteries:

  • USB Power: Connect the included USB cable to the DC 5V input on the back of the clock. Plug the other end into a USB power source (e.g., a computer USB port, a wall adapter, or a power bank).
  • Battery Power: Open the battery compartment on the back of the clock and insert 3 AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity.

Note: For continuous display, USB power is recommended. Battery power is best used with the power-saving mode enabled to conserve battery life.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Display is blank: Check power connection. Ensure USB cable is securely plugged in or batteries are correctly inserted and not depleted. If using battery power, ensure power-saving mode is not active, or activate the display by sound/touch.
  • Settings are incorrect or erratic: Press the recessed RESET button on the back of the clock using a thin object (e.g., a paperclip) to restore factory settings. You will then need to re-enter all settings.
  • Battery drains quickly: This is normal if the display is continuously on. Enable power-saving mode (ON:SD) or use USB power for extended display time.
  • Alarm not sounding: Ensure the alarm is set to 'ON' (e.g., 'ON:A1') during the alarm setting process. Check the volume if adjustable (this model does not have explicit volume control, but ensure no obstructions).
