4.1. Controls and Ports

5. Setup

5.1. Power Supply

The alarm clock can be powered in two ways:

  1. USB Cable (Recommended): Connect the included USB cable to the DC 5V port on the back of the clock. Plug the other end into a USB power adapter (5V/500mA-1000mA AC, not included) or a powered USB port. This provides continuous power.
  2. AAA Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back and insert 3 AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Batteries are primarily for backup or portable use, and may drain quickly if the clock is continuously displaying time without power-saving mode.

Note: For optimal performance and to avoid rapid battery depletion, it is recommended to use the USB power cable for daily operation.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Display Modes

Short press the SET button to switch between the two available display modes:

  • dP-1: Alternates display between Time, Date, and Temperature.
  • dP-2: Displays only the Time continuously.

6.2. Setting Time and Date

  1. Press and hold the SET button for approximately 3 seconds to enter the settings mode. The digit to be changed will flash.
  2. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the flashing value.
  3. Press the SET button again to confirm the current setting and move to the next parameter.
  4. The setting sequence is typically: Year → Month → Day → 12/24H Format → Hour → Minute.
  5. Continue pressing SET to cycle through all settings until you exit the setup mode.

6.3. Setting Alarms (A1, A2, A3)

The clock supports up to three independent alarms (A1, A2, A3).

  1. While in normal display mode, press and hold the SET button for approximately 3 seconds to enter the settings mode.
  2. Press SET repeatedly until you see 'A1' flashing.
  3. Use UP or DOWN to toggle the alarm ON ('ON A1') or OFF ('-- A1'). Press SET to confirm.
  4. If you selected 'ON A1', the hour digit will flash. Use UP or DOWN to set the desired alarm hour. Press SET.
  5. The minute digit will flash. Use UP or DOWN to set the desired alarm minute. Press SET.
  6. Repeat steps 2-5 for A2 and A3 if needed.
  7. After setting all alarms, continue pressing SET until the clock returns to normal display mode.

6.4. Brightness Adjustment

The clock has four brightness levels (L0, L1, L2, L3).

  1. Press and hold the UP button for approximately 3 seconds. The current brightness level will appear.
  2. Short press UP to increase brightness or DOWN to decrease brightness.
  3. Once the desired brightness is set, press and hold the UP button again to exit brightness adjustment mode.

6.5. Voice Control / Power Saving Mode

This mode helps conserve battery power by turning off the display when inactive.

  1. Short press the DOWN button to toggle between the two modes:
    • ON:SD (Standby Mode Activated): The display will turn off after a few seconds of inactivity. It will light up again when a sound over 60dB is detected (e.g., clapping, tapping the clock).
    • --:SD (Standby Mode Deactivated): The display remains continuously on.

6.6. Changing Temperature Unit (°C / °F)

Short press the UP button while in normal display mode to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature units.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: If using batteries, replace all three AAA batteries simultaneously when the display becomes dim or unresponsive. Ensure correct polarity.
  • Placement: Place the clock on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
