3. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of the suspension hanger cable system:
- Determine Mounting Location: Choose a suitable wall or ceiling location. Ensure the surface can support the weight of the cable system and the items to be hung.
- Mark Drill Points: Position the mounting pieces at the desired ends of your display area. Mark the screw holes for drilling.
- Drill Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked points. Insert wall anchors if necessary for your wall type (e.g., drywall).
- Attach Mounting Pieces: Securely fasten the mounting pieces to the wall or ceiling using the provided screws.
- Insert Cable: Thread one end of the stainless steel cable through the opening in one mounting piece. Press the spring buckle to allow the cable to pass through and adjust the length.

5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and appearance of your suspension hanger cable system:
- Cleaning: Wipe the stainless steel components with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
- Inspection: Periodically check the mounting points and cable for any signs of wear, loosening, or damage. Ensure all screws are tight.
- Weight Distribution: Distribute the weight of hung items evenly along the cable to prevent undue stress on any single point.
6. Troubleshooting
- Problem: Items slide along the cable.
Solution: Ensure the clips are securely fastened to the items. For lighter items, consider using multiple clips or adding a small piece of non-slip material inside the clip if sliding persists. - Problem: Cable sags in the middle.
Solution: This may indicate excessive weight or insufficient tension. Reduce the total weight of hung items or re-tension the cable by adjusting the length at the mounting points. Ensure mounting points are adequately spaced for the load. - Problem: Mounting pieces feel loose.
Solution: Tighten the screws securing the mounting pieces to the wall or ceiling. If the screws do not hold, the wall anchors may be insufficient for the load or wall type. Consider using stronger anchors or relocating the system to a stud or more robust section of the wall.
