2. Safety Information

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the tree is plugged into a functional power outlet. Do not overload electrical circuits. Unplug the tree when not in use or before performing any maintenance.
  • Stability: Always place the tree on a flat, stable surface. Ensure the metal stand is fully open and the eyebolts are securely tightened to prevent tipping.
  • Fire Safety: The tree is made with flame-retardant materials. Keep all flammable objects away from the tree and its electrical components. Do not place candles or other open flames near the tree.
  • Children and Pets: This tree is hypoallergenic and designed to be safe for families with children and pets. However, always supervise children and pets around the tree to prevent accidents.

3. Package Contents

Please verify that all components are present before beginning assembly:

  • Tree Sections (Bottom, Middle, Top)
  • Metal Tree Stand
  • Eyebolts (3)
  • Extension Cord with On/Off Foot Pedal

4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps for proper assembly and shaping of your Christmas tree:

  1. Prepare the Stand: Open the metal tree stand until the screw holes are lined up. Insert the three eyebolts into the holes, tightening them just enough so they do not fall out.
  2. Assemble Bottom Section: Remove any bubble wrap and plastic caps from the bottom tree section. Carefully insert the pointed, tapered pole of the bottom section into the tree stand. Tighten the eyebolts evenly to secure the tree and ensure it stands straight.
  3. Shape Bottom Section Branches: Begin shaping the bottom section by working from the inner tips outward on each branch. Lift the top tips and pull out the side tips. Some branches have side wings that should be bent to a 45-degree angle to create a full appearance.
  4. Connect Middle Section: Insert the pole of the middle tree section into the pole of the bottom section. Locate the light string from the middle section and plug it into the cord connector on the bottom section. There is only one connection between any two tree sections.
  5. Shape Middle Section Branches: Repeat the shaping process described in Step 3 for the middle section branches.
  6. Connect Tree Top: Insert the tree top into the plastic pole cap in the middle section. Plug the light string from the tree top into the cord connector on the middle section.
  7. Shape Tree Top Branches: Shape the branches of the tree top using the same method as the other sections.
  8. Power On Lights: Plug the extension cord into a power outlet. Step on the On/Off foot pedal to turn on the lights.
  9. Final Fluffing: Spend a few minutes reviewing the entire tree. Fluff any remaining tips to fill in any holes or gaps, ensuring a beautifully full and lifelike appearance.

5. Operating Instructions (Lights)

Your Puleo International Christmas tree comes pre-lit with 600 UL-certified clear lights. These lights are designed to remain lit even if one bulb fails, ensuring a consistent glow throughout the holiday season.

  • Power On/Off: Use the convenient foot pedal located on the extension cord to easily turn the tree lights on or off.
  • Light Modes: If your model includes multiple light functions (e.g., steady, flashing, color-changing), refer to the small controller attached to the light string or the foot pedal itself for mode selection.

6. Maintenance and Storage

  • Cleaning: To clean your tree, gently dust the branches with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Disassembly: After the holiday season, unplug the tree from the power outlet. Disassemble the tree in reverse order of assembly. Carefully unplug all light string connections between sections.
  • Storage: Fold the hinged branches flat against the center pole of each section. Store the tree sections and stand in their original carton or a suitable tree storage bag. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to preserve the tree's quality and extend its lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Lights Not Working:
    • Ensure the tree is securely plugged into a working power outlet.
    • Check all light string connections between tree sections to ensure they are firmly connected.
    • Verify the foot pedal is in the 'On' position.
    • While individual bulb failure should not affect the entire string, check for any loose or broken bulbs and replace if necessary (replacement bulbs typically included with the tree).
  • Tree is Unstable:
    • Ensure the metal stand is fully opened and placed on a level surface.
    • Tighten all three eyebolts on the stand firmly to secure the bottom tree section.
  • Branches Not Full:
    • The tree requires thorough shaping and fluffing upon initial setup. Continue to adjust individual branch tips, working from the inside out, to fill any visible gaps and achieve the desired fullness.
