5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Mounting the Pump

The pump should be mounted in a dry, well-ventilated area, protected from direct weather exposure. Use appropriate fasteners to secure the pump to a stable surface through its mounting tabs.

5.2 Connecting Hoses

  1. Identify the Inlet and Outlet ports on the pump. The inlet port is typically marked with an arrow indicating the direction of water flow into the pump.
  2. Attach the input hose (with the filter) to the Inlet port of the pump using the quick connector. Ensure the filter end is submerged in your water source.
  3. Attach the output hose to the Outlet port of the pump using the quick connector. Connect the other end of the output hose to your desired water appliance (e.g., shower head, water heater).
  4. Ensure all quick connectors are securely snapped into place to prevent leaks.

6. Operating Instructions

  1. Ensure all hoses are securely connected and the input hose filter is submerged in the water source.
  2. Connect the pump to a 12V DC power source using either the cigarette lighter cable or the alligator clip cable.
  3. If using the cigarette lighter cable, switch the integrated on/off switch to the "ON" position. The pump will begin to prime itself.
  4. Once primed, the pump will build pressure and then automatically shut off when the desired pressure (65 PSI) is reached.
  5. To start water flow, open the nozzle or faucet of your connected appliance. The pump will automatically restart to maintain pressure.
  6. To stop water flow, close the nozzle or faucet. The pump will build pressure and then shut off.
  7. When finished, switch the pump off (if using the cigarette lighter cable) or disconnect the power source.

Note: The pump is self-priming up to 4 vertical feet. For optimal performance, position the pump as close to the water source as possible.

7. Maintenance

8. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Pump does not turn on.No power, loose connection, faulty switch, blown fuse.Check power source (12V DC), ensure connections are secure. Verify the on/off switch is in the "ON" position. Check for blown fuses in the cigarette lighter cable or vehicle.
Low or no water pressure.Clogged filter, air in system, kinked hose, low water source, pump not primed.Clean the input filter. Ensure hoses are free of kinks. Verify sufficient water in the source. Allow pump to self-prime by opening a faucet until steady flow is achieved. Check for air leaks in connections.
Pump runs continuously.Leak in system, open faucet, faulty pressure switch.Check all connections and hoses for leaks. Ensure all faucets/nozzles are fully closed. If problem persists, the pressure switch may require inspection by a qualified technician.
Pump is noisy or vibrates excessively.Loose mounting, air in system, debris in pump.Ensure the pump is securely mounted. Bleed air from the system. Disconnect power and inspect for any visible debris in the pump head (refer to maintenance section).
