4. Safety Information
- Electrical Safety: Ensure all electrical connections are secure and protected from water. Use only 12V DC power sources. Do not exceed the specified voltage or current.
- Water Source: Use clean water only. The pump is not designed for flammable liquids or corrosive chemicals.
- Temperature: Do not operate the pump in freezing temperatures without proper winterization to prevent damage.
- Mounting: Securely mount the pump to a stable surface to prevent movement and potential damage during operation.
- Hoses: Ensure hoses are properly connected and free from kinks or obstructions.
- Supervision: Do not leave the pump unattended during operation.
5. Setup and Installation
5.1 Mounting the Pump
The pump should be mounted in a dry, well-ventilated area, protected from direct weather exposure. Use appropriate fasteners to secure the pump to a stable surface through its mounting tabs.
5.2 Connecting Hoses
- Identify the Inlet and Outlet ports on the pump. The inlet port is typically marked with an arrow indicating the direction of water flow into the pump.
- Attach the input hose (with the filter) to the Inlet port of the pump using the quick connector. Ensure the filter end is submerged in your water source.
- Attach the output hose to the Outlet port of the pump using the quick connector. Connect the other end of the output hose to your desired water appliance (e.g., shower head, water heater).
- Ensure all quick connectors are securely snapped into place to prevent leaks.

5.3 Power Connection
Choose one of the following methods to power the pump:
- Cigarette Lighter Cable: Plug the cigarette lighter adapter into a 12V portable power station or a vehicle's 12V power outlet. Use the integrated on/off switch to control power.
- Alligator Clip Cable: Connect the red alligator clip to the positive (+) terminal of a 12V battery and the black alligator clip to the negative (-) terminal. Ensure a secure connection.

6. Operating Instructions
- Ensure all hoses are securely connected and the input hose filter is submerged in the water source.
- Connect the pump to a 12V DC power source using either the cigarette lighter cable or the alligator clip cable.
- If using the cigarette lighter cable, switch the integrated on/off switch to the "ON" position. The pump will begin to prime itself.
- Once primed, the pump will build pressure and then automatically shut off when the desired pressure (65 PSI) is reached.
- To start water flow, open the nozzle or faucet of your connected appliance. The pump will automatically restart to maintain pressure.
- To stop water flow, close the nozzle or faucet. The pump will build pressure and then shut off.
- When finished, switch the pump off (if using the cigarette lighter cable) or disconnect the power source.
Note: The pump is self-priming up to 4 vertical feet. For optimal performance, position the pump as close to the water source as possible.
7. Maintenance
- Filter Cleaning: Regularly inspect and clean the input water filter to prevent debris from entering the pump and reducing performance. Disconnect the input hose, remove the filter, rinse it thoroughly, and reattach.
- Hose Inspection: Periodically check hoses for kinks, cracks, or leaks. Replace damaged hoses immediately.
- Winterization: Before storing the pump in freezing temperatures, ensure all water is drained from the pump and hoses to prevent ice damage. Disconnect hoses and run the pump briefly (without water) to expel any remaining water, or use an RV antifreeze solution according to product instructions.
- Storage: Store the pump in a dry, protected area when not in use.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump does not turn on. | No power, loose connection, faulty switch, blown fuse. | Check power source (12V DC), ensure connections are secure. Verify the on/off switch is in the "ON" position. Check for blown fuses in the cigarette lighter cable or vehicle. |
| Low or no water pressure. | Clogged filter, air in system, kinked hose, low water source, pump not primed. | Clean the input filter. Ensure hoses are free of kinks. Verify sufficient water in the source. Allow pump to self-prime by opening a faucet until steady flow is achieved. Check for air leaks in connections. |
| Pump runs continuously. | Leak in system, open faucet, faulty pressure switch. | Check all connections and hoses for leaks. Ensure all faucets/nozzles are fully closed. If problem persists, the pressure switch may require inspection by a qualified technician. |
| Pump is noisy or vibrates excessively. | Loose mounting, air in system, debris in pump. | Ensure the pump is securely mounted. Bleed air from the system. Disconnect power and inspect for any visible debris in the pump head (refer to maintenance section). |
