Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your XOMAX XM-2DN6906, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Power: Check the vehicle's fuse box and the unit's power connections. Ensure the ISO connector is properly seated.
- No Sound: Verify speaker connections. Check volume levels and ensure the 'Mute' function is not active. Confirm audio output settings.
- GPS Not Working / Map Issues: Ensure the GPS antenna is correctly connected and has a clear view of the sky. Verify the MicroSD card with navigation software is properly inserted. If maps disappear or navigation fails, the software or card may be corrupted; consider reinstalling or replacing the navigation software.
- Bluetooth Connection Problems: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the car radio and your mobile device. Delete previous pairings and attempt to re-pair. Move your device closer to the unit.
- Slow Media Loading (CD/DVD/USB/SD): Ensure media is clean and undamaged. For USB/SD, try a different storage device or format.
- Poor Radio Reception: Check the radio antenna connection. An external antenna amplifier may be required in areas with weak signals.
- Unit Freezes or Settings Not Saved: Perform a system reset using the 'RES' button (may require a thin object like a paperclip). Ensure the constant power wire (yellow) is correctly connected to the vehicle's battery to maintain settings.
- Cannot Play Videos While Driving: For safety reasons, video playback on the main display is typically restricted when the vehicle is in motion. This is a standard safety feature.
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, contact customer support or a qualified technician.
